About this listen

The Fateful Trilogy continues with Fractured. No, it's not called Fractured because Ethan and Danielle break up, because they don't...in case you were wondering.

They had thought they'd escaped most of the danger surrounding them, when in truth they've made it worse by unintentionally sparking a civil war amongst vampires. Many vampires want to protect them for discovering the cure to the curse binding their kind. However many more want to destroy them for that same discovery.

Ethan's and Danielle's struggle for survival intensifies while they sink deeper into the midst of this danger. The romantic fairytale bliss they once had will soon fracture under the pressure of the curse....

A great middle book in the series

MY TAKE
The early part of the story focuses quite a bit on the continuing romance between Ethan and Danielle. Interspersed and all the details of the courtship is intermingled bits of suspense and some action. I struggled a little with the way Danielle seemed to take for granted the sacrifices being made in her behalf. She did get over that more, so it was a little character growth for her. The second half of the book has a lot more action, even some shocking things that I will share.

I think there's going to be another book, but this one does it end with enough resolution. I confess I was worried for a while that Schmidt might end up with a cliffhanger. She did not, which made me very happy.

Once again Tristan Hunt rocked the narration.

I really enjoyed the series

Nice enjoyable story and Tristan Hunt did a good job narrating, But I am a fan of dual narration, I feel it would have been more enjoyable that way. But still good non the less.
Worth a listen. Hopefully one day they will make these books for entertainment not just and enjoyable read.

Artistic, Inspired and Impeccable

If you could sum up Fractured in three words, what would they be?

Artistic, Inspired, Impeccable

What did you like best about this story?

Unexpectedly dangerous and gripping with captivating characters who will make you forget every other vampire book you have read. Tristan once again grabs your attention and holds it until the very end. Again I am not a huge fan of audio books but Cheri has done well with choosing a narrator who ensures that you still love the story as much as if read on your own. For the second book in a trilogy I expected a little bit slower of a pace in the storyline was delighted at the contrary.

Ethan and Danielle are seamless characters who work together through turmoil both with each other and a new situation and with the outside world who threatens at every turn. Cheri has created a page turner for the readers and the audio version I constantly listened to from start to finish. I was left anticipating the next book while wanting to go back and re-listen to this one! Artistic, inspired and ingenious come to mind when reflecting on this book and I am anxious to listen to and read the third book and fully experience the ending to Ethan and Danielle’s story.

Another Great One!

What did you love best about Fractured?

It's an awesome sequel to Fateful with plenty of drama and fun characters.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I don't really have one, I love all the characters for different reasons.

Have you listened to any of Tristan Hunt’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This audio book is just as good, if not better, than Fateful. I feel like Tristan felt more comfortable reading this one, and I loved how he put so much drama and personality into the reading.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Of course!

Any additional comments?

Cheri Schmidt is my favorite author, so I might be biased here, but this is a fantastic audio book, and Tristan did a great job at narrating once again. I can't wait for the next one!

Wonderfully written and performed!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this to anyone who has read Fateful. You can't live without knowing what happens to Danielle and Ethan.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Danielle was my favorite because she was a very loveable, level headed girl, but Ethan and Max are quickly making there way up my list.

What about Tristan Hunt’s performance did you like?

Tristan narrowrated this beautifully! The tragic scenes were ready so sadly that I almost cried and he reads with such passion you can't help but get lost in it!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

In a war amongst vampires, whose side will you choose.

Any additional comments?

Excellent book that will make you laugh, cry, and be overjoyed (sometimes all at once). A must read for fans of the supernatural and pure romance.

Even better than the last one

What made the experience of listening to Fractured the most enjoyable?

The story was so engaging, from start to finish. It was action packed and exciting and kept me guessing as to what was going to happen. I also can't say enough good about the narrator, Tristan Hunt. His various accents were phenomenal to listen to.

Which scene was your favorite?

I particularly adored the honeymoon scene. It was tastefully done but still sizzled with romance and intimacy.

A great listen.

I throughly enjoyed this audiobook. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys vampire themes. The narration by Mr. Hunt as well was wonderfully done. He has a clear audible voice which was delightful to listen to. Each character was very easy to identify.

A+ narration & story that grabs you & won't let go

Tristan Hunt, the narrator of Fractured, does an amazing job bringing author Cheri Schmidt's words & characters to life. The story was great. I was hooked from the very first chapter. I laughed, I cried, and I was surprised by things in this book. I can't wait to hear what Cheri and Tristan have in store for us in Forever!
