About this listen

A stand-alone by USA Today & WSJ Bestselling Author, Terri Anne Browning.

Brooke

I didn't wake up one day and decide to be a Disney princess, but for the last six months, I've been living the dream. Of course, that dream includes screaming little girls at birthday parties every weekend. At least there's cake.

When my roommate offers to cover my share of the rent if I work her friend's little girl's party, I don't hesitate. Only she forgets to mention a few things. Like that I would love the birthday girl the moment I met her. Or that the man who let me down seven years ago would crash the party. And she definitely didn't say anything about the jerk single father who just happens to be the hottest man on the planet.

Paxton Foster is nowhere close to being Prince Charming. But he sure does spend a lot of time rescuing me.

Paxton

No amount of money could make up for the mistakes of my past, but I've been trying. And then Brooke stormed into my life like a Category 5 hurricane, turning everything in my world upside down. Yet suddenly, it seems right side up for the first time.

There are a billion reasons why I can't have her. I have secrets. She's far too young. And then there's the small matter of her hating my best friend. But she is exactly what my daughter and I need, and I'll do whatever I have to in order to keep her. With Brooke, I feel as if I can finally find redemption.

Single dad, age gap...

3.5 stars

Finding Redemption is a single dad, age gap, billionaire, nanny romance. This one is a rollercoaster ride of emotions that is action packed with twists and turns, and secrets revealed. The banter between Brooke and Paxton had me laughing out loud, and Bella was just adorable. It was drama filled and quick paced. However I feel that this story left a lot of holes that weren't filled for me. We didn't get enough back story on any of the characters and I couldn't really connect with these characters for most of the story. It was an Ok read.

James Amherst and Chloe Ryan did a good job portraying these characters and bringing the story to life.

Fast & fun

I really liked this—it drew me in right away with a female lead who had to rise above a very hard and dark past, and early in, introduced me to an adorable 6 year-old character who I felt was very well done.

It packs lots of drama and alludes to several dark pasts that I’d absolutely love a closer look at, but didn’t need in order to easily follow this and of course, to predict every single little lie, secret and twist.

Packs:

Workplace romance.
Boss / nanny relationship.
A full-on villain.
Billionaire romance.
Single dad.
Secrets.
Scandals.
Petty, superficial other women and moms.
High-profile male lead.
Found family.
Age gap.

Overall: well done. A fun read that left me wanting more of this world and these characters.
4 stars.

standalone romance

This is a standalone romance read / listen but oh, I want more!!! I have questions and seriously want some answers. Browning delivers a wonderfully well written romance with some dark undertones and a great level of sweet and heat. Some humor as well but our main character Paxton is fierce. Fiercely protective and Brooke just as quickly as she's on his radar does he decide she must be his. Plenty of twists and turns with our secondary characters that mostly answer the jumble of questions but yikes, I want more! Bella's character is refreshingly pure, and I loved her from the beginning. Our dual narration by James Amherst and Chloe Ryan is perfectly done for these characters and brings them to life and allows us listeners to enjoy the smooth flow of the storyline all the better. A great listen and I'm definity looking forward to more from Browning!

Family Secrets

I absolutely love how Paxton Foster and Brooke Ackerman first meet. LOL! 🤣🤣 It's truly priceless.

I liked this, but for much of the book, I felt like I was missing some major details, and even though this wasn't identified as being part of a series (I stopped to check several times), I thought there was a prequel or something with details. While it turned out to be a case of several late 💣 revelations, it did leave me... restless isn't the right word, but perhaps you get where I'm going.

Bella is absolutely adorable! 💜🩷 I love how she has so many people in her corner rooting for her. The Kayla's and Janel's of the world could take a lesson.

I received an author's copy of the audio book. The narrators are James Amherst and Chloe Ryan. I liked both of them. I fairly certain this was my first time listening to either.

Great Story!

I really enjoyed this single dad, age gap, billionaire, nanny romance. Brooke has had a tough past and is working a few jobs and her roommate asks her to do a princess party for a little girl that she knows.  This is where she meets Paxton and Bella.  Brooke eventually agrees to be Bella’s nanny and Paxton and Bella begin to get closer.  There is a lot going on in this story with their pasts and when you think you know what’s going on, the story takes another twist.
I thought this was a great book with enjoyable characters.  The narrators did a great job with the character’s voices and made the book fun to listen to. #AudiobookObsession  #TheFlock

Overall 4 ⭐️ Performance 5⭐️ Stoey 3.5 ⭐️

Thos is the first book I've read/listened to by Terri Anne Browning. It's a billionaire single dad/nanny, age gap, retired MMA fighter romance. I loved the scene where Brooke meets Bella. So very sweet. Paxton's actions didn't prove to me that he was a good dad. We're told how much he cares and loves his daughter, but she seemed to come second/third to others. The twists and turns that this takes at the end was unexpected.

James Amherst and Chloe Ryan are excellent narrators. They did a beautiful job performing. Loved their voices.

age gap

This is the first book by this author I've done. I really enjoyed it, I was completely intrigued as soon as I started it. Will definitely be checking out more by this author. It does end on a cliffhanger.

I did the audio, the narrators did such an amazing job bringing the characters to life.

A Great Book

This is the story of Brooke and Paxton. Brooke has never had an easy life. When she was a child she did not have a loving family that she lived with. Her dad and stepmom were actually terrible to her. She suffered so much trauma. They terrorized this poor girl. However, now that she is grown she is the sweetest person you would ever care to meet. She also is a hard worker because she wants to have a good life and she is more than determined to have it. Working two jobs is never easy, but it what bring her to a birthday party that could change her life. Who would have thought that putting a single father to the girl whose birthday it is would end up with her getting offered a job as the nanny. Paxton knows from the moment that he lays eyes on Brooke that she is special. But she really proves herself when she has such great interactions with his daughter Bella. They connected instantly and that rarely happens. He is not a man that gives up when he wants something. he has it. However, maybe he wants her for more as the nanny for his daughter? Will he be able to get her? You have to listen to find out. I really liked the narrators of his book. They did a really awesome job of bringing the book to life.

3.5 stars...the story drew me in

I debated my rating a lot, honestly, but decided on 3.5 stars. The story drew me in, but at same time I sort of felt like there were gaps. Brooke was fiesty and not intimidated at all by Paxton's growly attitude...it was nice to see them get an HEA but I guess I really wanted to their relationship to develop some and have substance, especially with a child in the mix. The whole time I was anxious to discover the big secrets, and eventually had a good idea of some but one blew me away honestly, but wasn't at all what all the hush hush felt it was hiding...like why did that need to be kept from Brooke? I realize it sounds like I said a lot of negative comments, but I did enjoy the story and was invested in the HEA coming, just wanted more I suppose. Narrators brought story to life.
