About this listen

Caleb

As a teenager, I learned firsthand how untrustworthy and cruel a woman could be.
She destroyed me from the inside out and took everything from me.
The first chance I got, I ran and have been running from my past ever since.
Until I met Hayley.
She's a complete game changer.
She's everything I never thought a woman could be.
She's honest and sincere and completely selfless, and by some miracle, she's fighting for me.
I'm learning, if I want to keep her, I'm going to need to find the courage to fight for us.

CCaleb and Hayley are a perfect fit and FINALLY

Caleb....wow. I knew his story would hurt and break my heart...but this I wasn't expecting. I wish I could say the fact these things happen surprised me, but I don't live in rose colored glasses land like too many in this country do. I know there are evil, sick individuals out there torturing and forever damaging humans who deserve better with their utter depravity. So, that's my soap box warning for the bad things that occur in this story. But it was an amazing story...of overcoming, found family, champions in your corner, and finding what you deserve from life instead of settling for mediocre. Caleb and Hayley are a perfect fit and FINALLY they get there. And with acton, danger, and edge of your seat suspense keeping me on my toes, this story was everything I needed from it. And the amazing narration by Lexi Evans and Vincent Skye's brought the story from the pages.

Fighting for Your Touch (may contain spoiler alerts)

omg, this book was really good. I have to say that this is my favorite book in the series. It broke my heart hearing his story and how he was treated when he was a teen. but I am glad he found Haylie, and let's not forget little man. I love how they became a family. But omg when they got taken I was so scared for them and mad 😠 at Caleb. But he made up for it in the end. 5 star's all the way baby⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️. The narrator's did such a good job too.

So good

I have been waiting for Caleb's story since we first met him. I knew something had to have happened to him for him to be that closed off. And his story did not disappoint. It definitely became my favorite in the series so far. I couldn’t stop listening to it from beginning to end. He has been through so much my heart hurt for him. I loved seeing him get his HEA

I got this on audio. The narrators did such a great job. I really enjoyed them.

Deliciously dangerous!

This installment makes binging the entire series worth it! Not that they weren’t all good on their own, but this one packed a lot of suspense and danger and was utterly heart-wrenching for so many reasons. Very, very well done and the build during books 1 & 2 into this one was delicious.

Found family.
Friends to lovers.
Danger, everywhere.
Trafficking.
Heartbreaking tragedy.
Stalking.
Gang crimes, danger, etc.
Vi0lence.
Forced proximity.
Fresh starts.

Caleb and Hayley

5/5 ⭐
2/5 🌶️
5/5 🎧

This has definitely been my favorite book in this series so far, and while I am so excited for Kaden and Ashley, it's gonna be a tough one to beat. Caleb's past was so heartbreaking, I felt shredded each time more details of his abuse came to light. I loved how Hayley was so perfect for him, always backing off when he needed it and being there for him in every way she could.

*small spoilers ahead*
The fostering storyline was amazing too. I loved how Bentley and Kayla got to have another baby and that Caleb and Hayley truly became a family. The forced proximity was so good. I loved them being in the same apartment and her taking care of him.
*end spoilers*

The audio was great. Lexi Evans and Vincent Skye did a wonderful job of narrating these characters and telling this story. I can't wait to listen to more from them.

You Never Really Know!

I dove right into this one after finishing (Fighting With Faith) because I had to know Caleb's story. I don't think I was prepared for how much hurt he had to go through in his life (check your trigger warnings if you need to). I don't think I was rooting for HEA for two characters more. This book will walk you through some emotional landmines with the characters while they also have to deal with threats on their lives. Danger is lurking around the corner but healing and love are possible. I have to give it to the narrators that Lexi Evans and Vincent Skye for bringing Nikki's character's to life!

A Touching Look at the Power of Touch

If you want a story that will shock you and blindside you from the first paragraph then this third installment in Nikki Ash’s “Fighting” series is for you! A romance that truly builds from the justified seeds of mistrust.
Now, these characters are established in the other two books, but you can still follow along fairly well if you haven’t listened to them. Such covers one of the girls and fighters at Copper’s Gym.
Caleb…bless him. His story ripped my heart out. Yet despite everything he went through, he had integrity and appreciation. He risked his life even to help a kid who needed help! And how the author handled his psychological trauma I thought was well-done.
Haylee is a refreshing godsent and truly deserved the best. Her patience, hard work, overflowing compassion and selflessness, and endearing love for romance made me want to be her friend and root for her. Yet she was still grounded.
Marco is such a great kid! I love him to bits! I don’t know that many real 12 year olds that precious, but how the tragedies in his life were composed had tears in my eyes. I work with children in foster facilities and children’s homes and when you read their cases…what they went through…your heart shatters. What our main three go to are deep, hard topics, but we need to not shy away from them and Ms. Ash gave them the light they deserved while still bringing hope and proper awareness.
The dynamic between our eight adults is grand. Everyone deserves such loyal friends.
There are some heavy scenes in here and they are written in a way they barely give you time to react, but they are worded well and purposeful. With plenty of subtle hints along the way. I gasped and beamed numerous times while listening to this story.
Lexi Evans, who played Liz in the first book, was Haylee to a T. Warm, evolving as a woman in love then a parent, and she hit the climatic seems like extreme anger, confusion, and passion. She also gave her a breathy quality that I found intriguing. Lexi Evans always has the voice of love and lust, and is one of my top two favorite female Audiobook Narrators of all time. If I see her name on a project, I am going to get it! :-) Simple fact.
Mr. Vincent Skye (radical name BTW) played our to himself Caleb. He had a good rumble to his tone that fit and kept his voice even, but still with emotion that really fit Caleb as being this broken, mistreated, but deeply kind man. His other voices were good too.
My only teeny tiny issue was with the audiobook formatting. Chapters 2-4 and 10 did not say “Chapter (insert number) here but the rest did and in the physical and ebook copies, all the chapter titles were there. Some of Caleb’s section also seemed to have no pauses between them when there were page breaks, making my brain have trouble keeping the great pace the story naturally had. And after some of Mrs. Evan’s lines, there were long prolonged breathes at the end sentences. It wasn’t just one character earlier nor all the time with the same one, so I don’t feel it was a creative choice since she is professional in all works I’ve listened to. But it was very distracting and took me out of the chapter.
Just some more tight audiobook formatting on these little things would be helpful.
But this book is a must listen to the level of how Haylee has to watch The Bachelor. Let’s make everyone’s dreams come true. Once you touch (or listen) to this book, you’ll be touched how much it touches you and fighting for more.

Captivating and Suspenseful!

This is the third book in the Fighting Series, a sports romance. I love this series! Caleb and Hayley's story is captivating and intense, filled with angst, danger, suspense, and twists and turns. Caleb is enigmatic, handsome, and protective. His past is heart-wrenching. Hayley is beautiful, kind, selfless, and caring. They complement each other, and they are perfect together. The supporting characters are great. My heart broke for Marco and Chloe. I loved to see again the characters from the first book in the series. The friendship in the series is amazing. This is a beautiful and suspenseful story. Lexi Evans and Vincent Skye did an excellent job bringing this story to life. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listening to Fighting For Your Love, the next book in the series. #PFPAudio

Loving this series!

Nikki Ash is an excellent author. I am loving this series. We get each couple's standalone story, but then get to see the characters in each other's books because of this heartwarming friend group/found family storyline. And Caleb and Hayley’s story Broke. My. Heart. Trigger Warning: Childhood s*xual abuse. I almost got sick, physically. I ugly cried. I was angry, sick, and heartbroken for Caleb. There was a short time I was frustrated with Hayley's actions, but I got over it pretty quickly. These books just get better and better.

Vincent Skye and Lexi Evans are excellent narrators! I love their smooth voices. They brought this audiobook to life with emotional performances that had it rolling like a movie in my head. It was perfection.

Love it

Caleb and Haley’s story is one that I have been waiting for and this doesn’t disappoint.
Caleb’s tortured past has left him closed off. He is slow to trust women because of it.
Haley is interested in Caleb but he doesn’t know if he could let her know of his past
This is a heartbreaking, suspenseful story of finding love and hope.
Another amazing story in this series by Nikki Ash
Lexi Evan’s and Vincent Skye gives an emotional performance in this audio. Very well done.
