Publisher's summary

Never fall for straight guys--especially when they're friends with your brother.

Jeremy knows that. Honest! All he wanted was a little work done on his house.

That was it. Nothing too complicated.

And if he can get it done cheap because some guy owes his brother a favor? Even better!

The last thing he expected when Declan knocked on his door was to find the hottest man he'd ever seen. Or for that person to barely be able to speak to him or look him in the eye.

Why would his brother even be friends with a 'phobic dudebro?

By the time the renovations are finishing up, Jeremy's prepared to let Declan's favor to his brother be paid in full and forget about the guy's shy smile and ripped body.

But his interfering brother has other plans.

Favor is a novella featuring a busybody older brother, piercings in fun places, a very suggestive sculpture, spackle used as a flirting technique, a not-so-straight contractor, and an audiobook narrator who's had a bit of a dry spell and is sure he's imagining the way the hot contractor is looking at him.

Loved it

Jeremy and Declan don’t get the best start but with some meddling by Jeremy’s big brother, they just might get the chance. These two have some crazy chemistry. This is a fun little story and is certainly worth a listen. Declan isn’t the most sure of himself and Jeremy needs someone to care. I also enjoyed Liam’s narration.

funny and steamy m/m novella!

Loved this contemporary m/m romance novella! Jeremy and Declan are so sweet together, and Declan being so adorably shy is the best! Glad they finally got over their misunderstandings, and hooray for meddling but supportive siblings!

The narrator was excellent, all the voices were distinct and the steamy scenes were done very, very well!!

This was a nice, short romance audiobook novella!

Fun Dynamics All Around!

I read this novella quite a while back, so it was so much fun to have it come alive now with Liam DiCosimo narrating these guys! I absolutely loved that there were lots of interactions with the family and friends. I super enjoyed Jeremy's brother Jake. the Dynamics between Jake and Jeremy and then with Jake and Declan together, they were a blast! You just knew that once Jeremy and Declan got past their misconceptions about each other they were going to be great together. There is some steamy fun in here too!

A new novella series!

I love a brother's best friend trope and the author did it very well. I really appreciated the characters in this one. Jeremy being loud and proud about his sexuality was lovely to read about, and Declan being this shy man sort of new to his sexuality showed that people can figure their sexualities out later in life! Declan as a character felt a bit refreshing because he was so stunned by his shyness it made their communication nonexistent for awhile, but they definitely fell fast once they worked things out. I loved the fostering kids aspect of Declan as well. He was such a sweet man. Also, the addition of the brother actually being a cheerleader for them getting together day one was so funny to me. Everyone was shipping Jeremy and Declan me included. As always this narrator delivers a brilliant performance as well. Definitely a fun start to this novella series!

A favor that becomes forever

Favor is the first title of the Forever Family Trilogy. The primary trope is brother's best friend and there is an age gap of about 11 years.

Jeremy is the youngest sibling of Declan's best friend. They have heard of each other over the years, but don't meet until one night at a bar party shortly after Jeremy moves home. The attraction is instant, but a series of miscommunications and misunderstandings keeps them apart at first. But once they realize their mistakes, they come together fast and the heat is explosive.

As far as the story goes, I loved it. The miscommunications are understandable given the circumstances. Both MCs are immensely likeable and so sweet. The romance between them is hot and sweet. Declan and Jeremy are really great together and so supportive of one another.

For the performance, I love Liam DiCosimo and have listened to several of his narrations. His voice is easy to listen to and his diction is clear. The only thing that threw me off with this one was that the MCs voices took me a bit by surprise. Declan is a really big guy, much bigger than Jeremy. But Jeremy's voice is a lot deeper and sounds older. I felt like the two character's voices should have been flipped. It's not unrealistic, I suppose, that the smaller guy have the deeper voice, but it took me some getting used to.

The audiobook is only just over 3 hours, so it's perfect for a day trip in the car or an afternoon doing chores around the house. Despite the short length of the story, I didn't feel like it was missing anything. You really get a feel for the characters and the side characters, and the romance between Jeremy and Declan feels complete, if fast.

Do yourself a Favor and listen to this one. It's a short story with just enough plot and steam to keep you happy. Loved the concept and Liam DiCosimo does a great job bringing it to life. This is the first of three, so now need to go hit up the next story!

Miscommunications

A quick, low angst story which is an enjoyable listen. This sweet listen leaves you smiling.
Jeremy needs some work done on his home and his brother Jake offers the help of his friend Declan.
Declan is a sweetheart who knows Jeremy could be the man for him, If he could only open up to him.
As they fumble through their miscommunication and false impressions they quickly learn they could be so much more.

The narration is done well and the characters are brought to life splendidly. I hope we get to enjoy the rest of the trilogy in audio as well.
