For almost four years, the survivors in Elizabethtown have worked to make the settlement as safe and self-sustaining as possible. They’ve created a solar field, planted crops, raised livestock, and cultivated relationships with other groups in the area, trading skills and goods when necessary. Life will never be what it was before the zombies, but thanks to their hard work, they’ve created something as close to normal as possible, and they’re thriving.
Rowan, Devon, Kiaya, and Doug are happy. They’ve built lives for themselves, created families, and the future is looking good. But when a new group arrives in Elizabethtown, bringing news about what’s happening in other parts of the country, everything they thought about the world is turned upside down. Now they’re faced with a choice. Continue to brave the apocalypse alone, or join forces with a new government. The risks are high, the benefits extreme, and the threat of what might happen if they continue on their own terrifying. But not everyone is convinced it’s a good idea, and as the days stretch out, the stakes grow higher, as do the doubts.

This series is one of my favorites!
I started reading this series because it’s based in the town I live in and I got much more than I expected. I am absolutely hooked. These books are so fun to read! I can’t wait for book 8 to come out on audible.
I will say Rowan was never one of my favorite characters but I feel like she has been vastly underutilized in this book and the last. She has fallen into the “mom trope” and not in a good way. Hoping she shows us more of who she is as an individual in the final book.

Far from Hope
Most of the characters are likeable in this series, so I enjoy hearing their continuing journey through this zombie apocalypse. The ending leaves them in a precarious situation. I'm not crazy about the narrator, she is too robotic, but I want to see how things go ....

my favorite series
this Far Series is my absolute favorite series ever, I hope daily it keeps going at least a few more books. if u read this series u r going to see the writer put alot into these books , they r great amazing really. there's happy parts sad parts and when u think u no what's going to happen the complete opposite happens.. it definitely keeps u on ur toes. best series ever it's a must read.
