Publisher's summary

Suspected of kidnapping. Broke. Dumped. Katie thought things couldn’t get any worse.

Then, she was abducted by aliens.

Sure, they were hot warrior aliens, and the space station she was taken to was the coolest place she’d ever seen. Holographic fantasy suites? Over-the-top weddings complete with over-the-top alien wedding planners? Katie knew the tabloids back home would pay a boatload for a scoop like the one she was sitting on. If only she could find a way off the station and tell everyone on Earth.

But first, there was a problem of the Drexian warrior she was supposed to marry. The one whose scars and nightmares scared her. The one she couldn’t fall for.

Zayn knew he didn’t deserve a tribute bride. Those were for heroic warriors, not for soldiers who’d been captured and tortured.

The human with fiery-red hair may stir something within him, but he knows she can’t be his. Not when he’s sure she’s been sent to spy on him. He needs to prove that he hasn't been turned by the enemy and keep his distance from the human. No matter how much he wants to claim her.

This stand-alone action romance novel features steamy scenes on a holographic fantasy space station, a high-strung alien wedding planner with a penchant for platform shoes, deadly aliens hell-bent on invading Earth, and smoking-hot Drexian warriors with extra erogenous zones who are equally determined to protect Earth.

If you like hot alien warriors, spunky Earth women, and steamy romance with a happily-ever-after and a few laughs, you’ll love Exposed, the third book in Tana Stone’s sci-fi romance Tribute Brides of the Drexian Warriors series.

Picky listener

I have a real issue with narrators. I listen to samples and will buy, or not buy solely on the narrator. Even books I’ve read and absolutely loved. The storyline of this book was great and flowed well. I enjoyed the love story. But...the narrator’s choice of the lead lady was nerve wracking to me. The breathy, I sound like a cheap teenage hooker voice was not what I would have went for with this character.
If you have no problem with the voice then I think you will really like this book. I’m interested to find more from this author.

Great story

This is the third book in the series, but the first one I have read. It is a stand-alone, but there were some prior characters and references that would have been cool to know ahead of time. I really enjoyed the story. Zane is such an honorable and smart hero. I had a bit of an issue with the heroine, but she eventually pulled her head out of her rear end. And I guess it furthered the story. I did feel that Zane let it go a bit too easily.
My biggest issue with the book was the voice the narrator used for the heroine. It is clear the narrator can speak normally, but she used the most breathy and airheaded voice for the heroine and it bugged me every time she spoke. She is supposed to be a hustler, so it did not seem applicable.
Overall a great story and I look forward to reading the other stories in the series. I received an ARC copy of the book in exchange for my honest opinion.

The plot thickens

The series continues to add more interesting twists and turns. Lots of similarities but enough differences to keep things interesting. Narrator does a good job with multiple characters. On to the next book!

OK space story

The story was enjoyable the only thing I didn’t like was how breathy the narrator made the female characters. Hard to take them serious. I was given a free copy for an honest review.

Great series

The third book of the Tribute Brides of the Drexian Warriors Series, an interconnected standalone Sci-Fi action romance. Both the main characters have serious emotional commitment issues. I love how we get to see previous characters from the other books.

Heroine?

I loved Zayn. Everything about his character and story makes me love him. Katie? I didn't understand her fixation to run back to a ruined life. I understand that it made a story, but it wasn't a good one. I kept reading this book only to see Zayn get a happy ending.

Plenty of feels

I really liked this book and in fact it is my favorite of this series so far. There was an extra layer of emotion to this story due to Zayn's history. This added extra feels to this romance and a lot of complexity to the character. This couple was very appealing and I found myself actively rooting for them. Zayn made my heart hurt and I found him quite swoon worthy. He was brave and strong and I just loved him. As for Katie, she had spunk and sass. All together this was a very fun read that was romantic and steamy. Only single narration on this book but the narrator's voice was pleasing and they did a wonderful job of bringing this story to life.

Aside from Katie's voice, a very fun book!

This was a fun listen.
I haven’t read any of the other books in the series, but this book works well as a stand-alone story. (although there is a common thread, so reading them in order is probably extra rewarding)
I really liked the setting of the story, the holographic ‘Love Boat’ Space Station, and the background story of why it was build and why woman are taken from Earth.

The narration was very good, except for 1 thing :
I thought the voice the narrator uses for Katie was really bad.
Very breathy and (to me) unlikable.
I don’t understand why she choose to use that voice for a Main Character.
You’re supposed to like Katie, connect and relate to her, but the voice that’s used made that very difficult for me.
This might seem a small thing, but sadly it really made me enjoy the book less.
I did like the narrators ‘normal voice’ and all the voices she used for other Characters. (majority of the book)
('performance' would have been 5 stars for me if it wasn't for Katie's voice)

I got this Audio Book for free (thanks!). I'm voluntarily leaving this review.

Steamy Sci-Fi Romance!

This is the third book of the Tribute Brides of the Drexian Warriors Series, an interconnected standalone Sci-Fi action romance, with crossover characters. Katie and Zayn's story is intriguing, fun, and steamy. Katie is feisty, independent, and strong. Zayn is a complex character, strong, and caring. I loved to follow them in this adventure, and I love the ending. The supporting characters are great. I like their friendship. The world building is well done and intriguing. Once again, the Epilogue gives us a glimpse of what's to come. Jodie Bentley has a beautiful voice, easy to understand. She also has a great range of voices, and the characters were easy to distinguish. She did a great job with the narration. Looking forward to listen to the next installment in the Series, Ramsomed. I was given a free review copy of the audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Pretty good

I love alien romance! Although this is the first book I've listened to in the series, the author made it easy for me to follow. I enjoyed the characters. I liked story progression and of course the juicy scenes. For me, the narrator was a little off point. I appreciate that she was doing different voices for the different characters, but the main character's voice came off as ditsy. The male voices were spot on and the emotion in the reading was great too. I received this book in exchange for an honest unbiased review.
