About this listen

Anything for you, mistress...

Thrace S’ver is an unwilling slave. Drugged and bound, he is taken to the flesh bazaar and put up for sale to the highest bidder. But this is not the first time Thrace has been on the auction block. He has a past full of horrors he doesn’t intend to repeat. Desperate to be free, he swears he’ll kill whoever buys him.

Lonnara Trin is the captain of a merchant ship from the all-female planet of Zetta Prime where sexual relationship with a male is considered unnatural and wrong. She has no use for males personally, but she needs a big, muscular slave or her business will suffer. Thrace fits the bill.

Soon, mistress and slave are embroiled in a desperate conflict which draws them intimately together. To her surprise, Trin actually begins to have feelings for her slave. And though Thrace swore to be free, he finds himself devoted to his new mistress.

When their differences threaten to tear them apart, Trin tries to grant Thrace his freedom. But she doesn’t realize that his heart has already been enslaved.

Cults,Religions,Trauma,Freedom

May be triggering for those with past religious trauma or physical or sexual abuse.
A good story that journeys through trauma, it's effects, and beyond.

Awesome book

This was a great book that speaks about religion and how it can be used to destroy Believers. It also speaks about the fact that past traumas can prevent one from seeing the truth of a situation. I highly recommend this book to anyone.

Another Hit.

While I still enjoyed this book, it was a bit on the long side. Don’t get me wrong I love a good sexy time, but this needed to cut some of the scene down a bit. I look forward to the next book though. I enjoy the narrator, but the whispering is a bit annoying when he is trying to convey the characters thinking, but at this point if you change it, it might be weird.

Loved story but hated narrators whispering

I loved the story but completely hated the narrators whispering commentary parts, He was pretty good otherwise but I almost had to turn it off when he started with the whispering! then just cringed every time he did it after that.
I did really love the story line and do love the author.

I prefer the other narrator for her books.

The narrator should not whisper. it's creepy. just speak normally. Mackenzie Cartwright is much better at it

So good.

This book fits near the top of my favorite Kindred Bride books. It is such a well balanced book. Topics in in are very difficult ones. Plus let’s not forget the smeggsy stuff.

Narrator is AWFUL!!

I am a fan of this series but William Martin does an awful job narrating the story. His whisper voice was so irritating that I had to skip it altogether just to get through all 20 hours of this book. I wish that Mackenzie Cartwright narrated the whole series and not just some of it because she does a much better job, not to mention she doesn’t do that creepy whispering.

Lesbian guilt story.

I wished I had known the story theme before buying. This is very guilt centered. Lesbian guilt as a forewarning. It was not labeled and I had an extremely hard time finishing due to the narration(the weird awkward whispering) and overwhelming guilt being piled on constantly.
It truly not worth the money. The awkward whispering just rakes the nerves.

The whispering

The story is good. The narrator’s whispering makes it very hard to listen to the story.
