Lovely story

This is a lovely coming of age story featuring the youngest Norrington sibling. With her friend Sarah, now married to her brother, away in Paris, Sophia doesn't want to face the Season alone. She prefers to just take a break and enjoy her books. With the idea of doing just that, she heads off to her favorite spot, hoping to have some alone time, only when she arrives, she sees someone else also had the same idea. Here she meets Stephen. At first she is annoyed, but very quickly begins to enjoy his company. They strike up a friendship and Sophia proposes a marriage of convenience, which he refuses. Heart broken, she goes off to partake in the Season and encounters Stephen and finds out that he somewhat deceived her. With a bit of drama and some twists, the story comes to a satisfying conclusion. I listened to this as an audiobook and enjoyed it very much.

entertaining

This was a sweet story that kept me smiling throughout while listening. Steven and Sophia were a well matched couple. Sophia made things more complicated than necessary . Steven doesn't take no for an answer thankfully for them both . A wonderful heartwarming ending. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest opinion. The narrator did a great job bringing the characters and story to life.

A Heartwarming Regency Romance of Quiet Love and Kindred Spirits

"Enlightening the Lady" by Daisy Landish is a charming, heartwarming Regency romance that perfectly captures the beauty of quiet connection and kindred spirits. Lady Sophia Norrington’s journey to find peace away from the bustling demands of society is a refreshing twist on the usual season’s social whirl. Her love for solitude and books immediately endeared her to me, making her a relatable and delightful heroine.

When she encounters Stephen, a viscount who shares her disdain for societal norms, their bond feels natural and sweet, blossoming through shared passions rather than the pressures of high society. Their moments together by the secluded stream are some of the most tender and enchanting parts of the story. Daisy Landish excels in creating vivid, intimate scenes that make you feel the quiet joys and growing affection between these two characters.

What I loved most about "Enlightening the Lady" is how the romance develops through thoughtful conversations and mutual respect, highlighting the beauty of finding love in unexpected places. It’s a clean, wholesome love story with a satisfying and uplifting conclusion. Fans of Regency romance will adore this novella, especially those who appreciate a slow-burn romance that thrives on emotional depth and shared values.
This is a perfect read for anyone seeking a gentle, thoughtful love story that leaves you with a smile.
