Publisher's summary

After returning to Cali Bottom and the wider world of Disgardium, Alex realizes that the Demonic Games were a vacation compared to the problems he now faces. He has to help the beta players stuck in the Nether and decide what to do with his friends who "betrayed" him; identify a real traitor and prepare for the citizenship tests; and reach the Inferno to obtain Coals of Hellflame and destroy the Nucleus, whose legates, now free, have gained new powers thanks to the pantheon of dark gods who have joined the Destroying Plague.

And as it turns out, there's more to the third Sleeping God than meets the eye....

Good book but fillerish

The book progresses but nothing serious happens I am excited for the next book to progress the main story. This feels more like a substory plot. But non the less a good book.

Great Story

I won't mince words. I have thoroughly enjoyed this entire series. If you enjoy litrpg, you'll enjoy this. I'm giving this same review over and over because it's worth encouraging readers to start and continue the story.

Filler Book

I first want to say I love this series!! I still love this series but this was a filler book. I just finished the book and I can’t really say much happens. More informational then anything plus a crazy cliff hanger. I am left with a lot of questions and based on description of next book it sounds like they will be answered but left a little disappointed on this one!!

Sadly, a filler book

Love the series, REALLY do, but this book lacked the substance the readers have come to expect. Following up the demonic games, I really hoped they would keep the pace that was set from such an INCREDIBLE book but this one seemed like “Here’s all the logistics and things you need to learn for the NEXT book!” Honestly wouldn’t have minded the first half being put into the end of the demonic games to set up the inferno story arc. I hope the author spend ALOT of time in the inferno because this story arc could be one of the best! Hoping he doesn’t rush it and the inferno is completed quickly, there’s so much potential in the war games and growing his “chow.”

All in all though I love the series and will continue to read on, just hoping the next one is more about scythe and less about everyone else

The story for a 90s kid

Did you watch toonami as a kid? Did you wait every afternoon for Dragon ball z and wish you could be Goku? Have you played mmos like WoW and wondered what it could be like to actually play in the world like it was Skyrim? Then this is your book series.

this was at best half a book

I feel like I really got screwed on this series. The books are getting less and less complete. 11 credits to get through this series is insane. this book is the worst example of what's going on. it doesn't complete any part of the story that it starts and it's like a to be continued in a very weak part of the whole story. I understand that the author makes a lot more money this way but to pay 11 credits for this is getting ridiculous and if the next book is like the last one I'm done. be ready to spend a lot on this series.
