Acerca de esta escucha

This is going to be Ryan Justice's year. It's his last year of college and his last year as a hockey player for the Bellevue Bullies. He's making all the plays in preparation for achieving his dream of being drafted into the NHL.

This is Sofia Castilleja's beginning. She is starting her college career as a star member of Bellevue's brand-new gymnastics team. She's going to tumble her way to success, first in school, and then by realizing her dream of opening her own gym.

Ryan and Sofia didn't see each other coming, but once they meet, they can't look away. Their dreams are destined to take them in opposite directions. But it doesn't take them long to realize that waking up to reality together may be better than dreaming alone.

Sweet Love Story

This story was okay. The epilogue was not that good and not sure why the author put it there. This story was kind of boring and I skipped often. The epilogue did not improve or closed in a satisfied way. Good thing that this was part of my membership. I choose this bc I was familiar with the readers. They didn’t disappoint.

It was okay

Finally, a story where the drama is not some stupid miscommunication or fake conflict. The characters are very strong and likeable and their relationship is strong as well. These are two people who love the other more than they love themselves and there is no exaggeration on either side. We finally see that honesty and trust are what takes a relationship forward.
It’s a sweet story with good lessons and, for once, I didn’t have to skip forward, even though it was very long.

Good and relaxing with strong characters

This is one of the best books ever! It made me laugh and cry SO many times! Ryan and Sophia have become two of my favorite Toni Aleo couples. It is stories like this that keep me hooked to Toni's books. I cannot praise it highly enough!

THIS is a LOVE Story!!

I really enjoyed this story! It pulled me in from beginning to end and it feels like a bit of a new generation with a new set of teammates for the Bellevue Bullies after the Sinclair brothers so I do feel like you could start here without a problem. This one starts with Ryan Justice and he is a senior on the team and is nephew to Shea Adler from the Assassin's team. He has wanted to be in the NHL and that has been his plan and dream but things have not been going smoothly. He has been getting his education as well for a backup plan and now has a great internship with the Assassins for athletic trainer which he also loves. His sister is starting at Bellevue and is a gymnast and when he shows up to her first meet he sees Sofia and things spark off. He knows immediately that he wants to get to know her and has that instant connection and feels like it is different than he has ever felt. Sofia doesn't want a distraction, she wants to focus and do her best in order to reach her dreams and open her own Elite Gym. Ryan is persistent though and Sofia feels it as well but she has no real experience so that plays into some of her reluctance. I loved how Ryan was with Sofia and how he pursued her and showed he was interested and that it was more than just physical. He wanted something more between them since that is what he felt. He had no idea how or if any of it work out by the end of the year with him graduating and expecting to go into NHL and she would still be at Bellevue since she was just a freshman. He doesn't want to focus on that and let that ruin what they could be as they chase their dreams. I love how they support each other throughout the book and make each other better in the process of chasing their dreams and figuring out exactly how that looks. This story was well written and flowed well. It had me engaged with the story and the characters and I loved this one. I am excited to see where the next one in the series goes and hope we get to see what happens with Amelia as well.
The narrators did a great job with the story and bringing it to life. They did a great job showcasing the personalities of the characters to really make them come alive.

Loved this one!

I’ve read several of Toni Aleo’s book and have enjoyed all of them. This one didn’t really hit the mark for me though. Maybe it was because I didn’t like how naive the character was. The storyline for me was ok too. I enjoyed the narrators! I’ve listened to other books with both narrators and they aren’t a drag to listen to like some (at least for me).

Easy listen/not the worst but not the best

I had to stop listening and start reading the printed version (KU). I was invested in the story, but the female narrators female southern accents made me want to cover my ears and run away. I am southern and have never heard anything like this. I'm not accent blind; I did get several opinions. But this distracted me so much, and was maybe even a little offensive. (Sorry, listen if you can, or read printed if you can't listen.)

What in the world are those accents
