Publisher's summary

A witchy rom-com from New York Times bestseller Meg Cabot about a plus size witch who must team up with a handsome stranger to help protect her village from an otherworldly force—but will she be able to protect her heart?

It’s Magic When You Meet Your Match

In her teenage years, lovelorn Jessica Gold cast a spell that went disastrously wrong, and brought her all the wrong kind of attention—as well as a lifetime ban from the World Council of Witches.

So no one is more surprised than Jess when, fifteen years later, tall, handsome WCW member Derrick Winters shows up in her quaint little village of West Harbor and claims that Jess is the Chosen One.

She’s the Chosen One

Not chosen by West Harbor’s snobby elite to style them for the town’s tricentennial ball—though Jess owns the chicest clothing boutique in town. And not chosen finally to be on the WCW, either—not that Jess would have said yes, anyway, since she’s done with any organization that tries to dictate what makes a “true” witch.

No, Jess has been chosen to help save West Harbor itself . . .

As Summer Ends, Her Power Grows

But just when Jess is beginning to think that she and Derrick might have a certain magic of their own—and not of the supernatural variety—Jess learns he may not be who she thought he was.

And suddenly Jess finds herself having to make another kind of choice: trust Derrick and work with him to combat the sinister force battling to bring down West Harbor, or use her gift as she always has: to keep herself, and her heart, safe.

Can she work her magic in time?

Amazing story

I loved it like I love everything Meg Cabot does. It gives the vibes of All American girl with a witchy twist.

Nice fall listen

This book was a cute catnip romance. Overall, I enjoyed the story and the narration was great (I love Tim Paige). However, I did roll my eyes a lot at how things seemed work out so neatly/unbelievably over and over again. Also, the ending was really anticlimactic.

A Great Witchy Story

Enchanted to Meet You is about a small town in parallel of destruction from demonic spirits out for revenge. Jessica (a cottage witch) is the chosen one to coach the enlightened one, only discovers this when Derrick comes into town to help try and save it. And of course Derrick and Jessica fall in love. It’s cute and quirky in the Meg Cabot way that she does it. It has the New England small town feels, perfect for the fall. It has good character growth, a romantic plot, and the story is interesting. It is closed door that is what Meg Cabot does. With Enchanted to Meet You, I’m here for the witchy/fall vibes and the magic of Meg Cabot’s writing and the smut. It did not disappoint.

Cute but lacking some depth

This was a cute story, but I felt like it was a little flat and lacking in depth. The whole story takes place over a couple of weeks, but I feel like we are missing details about most of the characters and the love story developed too quickly for the time frame.

Loved this perfect Halloween story

I loved this story - the magical details, the history leading back to her teenage years, the development of the characters, etc. I do think there’s more we don’t know about the characters yet (there were little clues here and there) and I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

Cute and Fun Story

This book was so fun. I loved the messages and the characters' unique personalities. The climax felt a little underwhelming considering all the build up and planning. I would have liked to see a little more action there, but the ending was still very satisfying. This is the perfect cozy story if you are looking for magical, funny, easy read.

Not the best ending

The ending was such a let down. There was a lot of time spent describing things (the store, people’s outfits), instead of dedicating time to setup for the plot or tightening up the ending

Would've been more stars of the main characters were in their teens

It was a decent read, but some of the dialogue gave me the ick for characters that were in their 30s. Have they been teens or early 20s? I probably wouldn't have even noticed.

Not my cup of tea

I just did not care for the story. I like stories about witches but this one fell flat to me
