About this listen

Enter a realm where desire burns bright, and love is the most dangerous game of all.

Sade Hughes, on the run from a murderous ex, finds sanctuary in her grandmother’s secluded cottage—only to stumble upon a gateway to a world torn from the pages of her childhood dreams. Here, in the realm of fae princes and untold magic, she meets Aranion, a fugitive of royal blood, whose presence is as enchanting as it is dangerous.

Bound by a past marked by betrayal and a future threatened by dark forces, their union sparks a passion both forbidden and undeniable. Aranion, with secrets as deep as the forests of his homeland, finds in Sade a strength he never knew he needed. But as enemies close in, their connection—fierce and tender—may be the very thing that tears them apart.

Now Sade must navigate a world where love carries a price in blood, and trust is forged not in the heat of battle but in the heart of the storm. Can Sade resist the dark seductions of a hidden enemy? And will her bond with Aranion be the key to their salvation or their undoing?

Edge of Thorns is the first volume of a steamy BWWM fantasy romance duet.

Warning:
I meant it when I said this book was steamy. Those dark seductions are real. Be prepared.

Note: Edge of Thorns was previously published in two volumes as The Elven King and Birds and Prey. It also incorporates the first three chapters of what was previously titled An Elven Storm. This second edition has gone through significant revisions and edits, though the story is basically the same.

Under developed

This story feels like a first draft. Aside from passages being duplicated, the audio quality sounds like it was recorded using a toy microphone and the terrible narration it’s hard to give decent feedback. I feel like there’s a good concept forming but nothing is fully developed. There’s no world building or character development. The narrator reads in a monotone but also has a strange cadence with pauses at odd places that don’t seem to be caused by post production edits.
It’s painful to listen to.

Choppy

The storyline seemed to be missing crucial events and backstories. The instant love or soul bond didnt seem to be that much of a bond about halfway through the book.
