Story
At the heart of Mary Higgins Clark's stunning new novel of suspense is a brutal murder: that of Gary Lasch, a respected and successful young Greenwich, Connecticut, doctor and hospital and HMO head. He was found dead at his desk at home, his skull crushed by a blow with a Remington bronze sculpture, a prized piece from his art collection. The news strikes Greenwich society like a thunderbolt - as does the news that Molly Carpenter Lasch, the doctor's young wife, has been arrested for her husband's murder.

But the news hits especially close to home for Sydney because one of her own stands accused of the brutal crime. Sydney's the one person that Wanda Fields, a quiet, hardworking waitress and single mother, can think to call after her arrest.

Dying for Mercy (Unabridged)
Very good and I liked listening to it, especially since it's a long book. I got to listen while driving, while eating and playing games or cleaning. I would recommend this book if you would like books while doing other stuff too.

Enjoyable, easy read
I really like the work of Mary Jane Clark, but found this one a little less exciting than most of her books. I did not like the way in which the victim committed suicide, and was disappointed in the ending. I expected a little more substance.
