About this listen
The author of the national best-selling Vampire Earth series presents the fiery conclusion to his epic dragon saga.
Scattered across a continent, three dragon siblings are among the last of a dying breed -the final hope for their species' survival.
After fighting a war that cost each of them kingdom and land, friends and family, honor and glory, they have removed themselves from the troubles of the world. But the order they fought to establish is falling apart. Ancient sorceries have been awakened. Dragons battle dragons. And men are taking up arms against their winged overlords. Now, the three must unite once more to save dragonkind from extinction, before the chaos and fire of war consume them all... and the world with them.

Story
Carl was a regular construction foreman. Not the worst, not the best, and definitely not the thinnest. Even so, he didn't deserve that heart attack! He really didn't deserve being reborn into a magic-filled, dog-eat-dog world as a dragon. To be fair, it’s nice to be at the top of the food chain. Now Carl just needs to learn how magic works, which monsters are safe to eat, and why his hoard is so important to him. Dealing with everything changing is hard enough, but he has enemy dragons incoming, hostile environments, and foes constantly trying to get bragging rights by taking down a dragon.

Awesome series, lack luster ending
The first 3 books were easily my favorite. 3 books taking place in the same time told from different perspectives. The later 2 were alright neither particularly good nor bad, but this one.. after everything leading up to the end, I was incredibly disappointed. The story in this book alone was fine, but the ending itself seemed rushed.

A better ending than I expected!
After reading some of the reviews for this title, I was worried that I wouldn’t like the ending or that it wouldn’t find a satisfactory conclusion. I had nothing to worry about!
This final installment delivers on the same plot as the last three novels. Though very far removed from the first two, this makes for an excellent and epic conclusion to a series that has grown near and dear to my heart.
The performance, as always 10/10 HYAAA David Drummond, HYAAA

A good ending
A good bit rushed in the ending compared to the rest of the books, but still an oddly satisfying end. I WOULD love to see more - do they chase after and find other dragons to help bolster their numbers, like the old salty up north? Do they figure out what the lava dome really is/was and what it does? and so many others! I'd love love love to hear more!

I Liked the Ending
I liked this series. While it did get a little sloggy somewhere around book four and five, I felt that this was a good ending. I started it more to wrap up the series than because I was still in love with it, but I am glad that I did. It was a very Tolkienesque, in that after the climatic final battle it does wrap up rather quickly, and no character is perfectly safe. Also like Tolkien, not every question is answered (some mysteries/histories are bigger than the story arch) but I felt that it answered enough for me to be satisfied, yet remained expansive enough to feel like a “real” world. I am very glad I listened to this book, and the whole series.
