It used to be true that "dead men tell no tales". But Zimm Industries has changed that, forever. Dr. Thaddeus Zimm has come up with a way to bring the dead back long enough for them to tell their stories, and the story the authorities most want to hear is how they died. Who did it, why did they do it, and did they happen to mention where they might be going next? The Zimm Industries procedure has changed the face of murder investigation, and field technicians are routinely called upon to bring dead victims of violent crime back and interview them. One field tech, Matt Freeman, has been at it for a while, now. Matt discovers that there's another side to Dr. Zimm's formula, and he finds himself caught in the middle. It's a dangerous, diabolical use of the new technology, and Matt soon learns there is more to life than just staying alive. Matt talks to dead people for a living, but the hard part now is, not becoming one of them!

Where does Dr. Zimm's Elixir rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This book is the most interesting of any the audio books I've read. I normally just listen to audio books in the car, but I ended up listening to Dr. Zimm's Elixir in the homeWhat was one of the most memorable moments of Dr. Zimm's Elixir?
For me the most memorable moment in the story is when the main character wakes up from an explosion and thinks he is a (wait for it) ...zombie!What does Dale Dudley bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The narrator did a good job on the characters voices. The hardest to do for a male narrator is the female parts. He performed well for all of the characters voices. Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
As I got further and further into the story I found that I wanted to listen more and more. If I could of I probaly would have liked to listen to "Dr. Zimm's" in one sittingAny additional comments?
I really enjoyed this book. It is not your typical zombie book. If you're looking for a zombie apocalypse story this isn't one. It is really a "who done it" book with an inventive twist using zombies.Highly Entertaining!

What made the experience of listening to Dr. Zimm's Elixir the most enjoyable?
Ok I really don't like Zombie books. I rarely read Zombie books. But Mike Lee writes absolutely wondeful stories. This Zombie story is different, it isn't post apocalyptic nor dystopian. It is just an almost real time interesting take on " What I did over my summer vacation " or " Zombies are nice guys too" simply a fun light tale. What other book might you compare Dr. Zimm's Elixir to and why?
I haven't read anything like this, as I tend to avoid the Genre. But if I must make a comparison, I will.I'd say this would like be a very light Michael Crighton's Prey. Just as Prey isn't his strongest book as Dr. Zimm isn't, these are both strong enjoyable writers able craft an interesting tale from any premis.Which scene was your favorite?
When Matt Freeman is first "Packed" by a brand new under qualified and under trained technician. If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Crime solving into the next century, my "life" as a Zombie.Any additional comments?
Mike Lee is an absolutely wonderful author. Granted among Horkers Law, Fey and Starfire this least favorite. But it's definitely good enough to break from the Zombie genre into enjoyable SciFi.I just hate Zombies! but… .

What made the experience of listening to Dr. Zimm's Elixir the most enjoyable?
The main characters are reasonable well-developed and the plot moves along nicely. The world-building is well done. What other book might you compare Dr. Zimm's Elixir to and why?
The book has a whimsy that reminds me a bit of Snow Crash. It is almost a cozy version of the zombie genre along the lines of iZombieAny additional comments?
Like other books by the author, this is well written and enjoyable. After reading however, the book doesn't really stick with you which is why I consider it somewhat light reading.Light and Fun
