On the planet Telos, the Doctor and his friends encounter a party of archaeologists intent on uncovering the mythical "tomb of the Cybermen". Only the Doctor seems aware of the folly of this venture, but suddenly it's too late, the ice tombs are open, and the Cybermen are coming back to life.

When the TARDIS materialises on an alien planet, the Doctor insists that he and his companions have arrived in the far future. Steven and Dodo think otherwise, however, after they encounter a band of cave-dwelling primitives who are terrified of strangers.

The TARDIS lands in Paris in 1572 at the time of the massacre of the French Protestants at the hands of the Catholic Queen Mother, Catherine de Medici. Worryingly for the TARDIS crew, it appears that the hated Catholic dignitary the Abbot of Amboise is a dead ringer for the Doctor himself.

The TARDIS brings the Doctor, Jamie, and Victoria to the south coast of present-day Earth. Something nasty is lurking in the gas pipelines of the North Sea, and before long the nearby refinery is under attack. Landing on a foam-covered beach, the travellers are at first mistaken for saboteurs.

The travellers arrive in the dangerous domain of the Toymaker, where their failure to win at a series of games could result in them becoming his playthings for eternity. Apparently innocuous nursery characters reveal deadly intent, and for companions Steven and Dodo the stakes are raised with every game of blind man's buff and musical chairs. The Doctor, meanwhile, is rendered invisible and given the challenge of completing the fiendishly difficult Trilogic game.

The Doctor, Jamie, and Zoe become victims of piracy when they materialise on a space beacon, minutes before it is literally blown to pieces. So begins their quest to be reunited with the TARDIS, whilst treading perilously across the paths of the Interstella Space Corps and a gang of murderous bandits.

In it the time travellers arrive in Scotland in the aftermath of the battle of Culloden, meeting up with a band of fleeing Highlanders. Polly and the daughter of the group's Laird, whose battle injuries are being treated by the Doctor, go off to fetch water and return to find that the others have been captured by Redcoat troops. Can the Doctor save the day?

History must take its course...' The TARDIS materialises in the middle of a holy war between King Richard the Lionheart and the Saracen leader, Saladin, in 12th Century Palestine. As the Doctor, Vicki, Ian and Barbara explore their surroundings, they are suddenly caught up in a Saracen ambush - and Barbara is kidnapped. For the time travellers, intrigue and espionage ensue as they once again become involved in living history.

The Cybermen make their first ever appearance whilst William Hartnell's Doctor nears the end of his first incarnation, in this classic soundtrack adventure with linking narration by Anneke Wills. The year is 1986, and at the South Pole the crew of the Snowcap Base have detected a new planet on their radar. The arrival of the Doctor, Ben, and Polly at the Base coincides with another landing, that of a spaceship whose humanoid passengers have used cybernetics to replace their limbs and vital organs.

The TARDIS lands on the seveneenth century Cornish coast, and its crew stumble upon a plot by the local Squire to receive and offload contraband goods. The Doctor meets the churchwarden, whose last words to him concern the whereabouts of hidden treasure. When pirate captain Samuel Pike learns of this, he kidnaps the Doctor and demands to be given the cryptic clue.

The TARDIS arrives on an extinct volcanic island, beneath which lies a fantastic subterranean world inhabited by the primitive Atlanteans. The Doctor and his companions move from the frying pan to fire when they are rescued, from death at the jaws of hungry sharks, by the mad Professor Zaroff, whose plans involve nothing less than the destruction of the whole world.

When the Tardis lands on an arid planet, it seems as though the whole place is desolate and lifeless. But then the Doctor, Steven, and Vicki discover two crashed spaceships: one contains the Drahvins, a race of stunning beauty; the other contains the hideous Rills. However, as the team soon finds out, appearances can be deceptive.

The Doctor and Romana find themselves in the Proxima System, where enigmatic Conglomerate CEO Cuthbert has been conducting his infamous 'experiment'. An experiment which might accidentally rip the universe apart. Meanwhile, living conditions on Proxima Major have become harsh and hostile. Climate change has turned the landscape into a freezing wasteland and an alien power has condemned much of the population to life inside internment camps.
