About this listen

All's fair in love and magic. Rosalind is preparing for all-out war with Drew, who wields gods-magic with terrifying skill. But now Rosalind is learning to harness gods-magic, too. When she next encounters her cousin, she wants to destroy him completely.

Unfortunately for her, Drew launches a surprise attack on the vampire city. Torn away from Caine, she's trapped in Drew's sadistic world where she has to do whatever he commands. But a quiet rage simmers under the surface...Drew thinks he can control her, but she'll do anything to be reunited with Caine, her seductive demigod. And when she does, she's determined to learn the truth about him - and herself - once and for all. Gods-magic or not, she'll find a way back to the vampire city.

Because the price of failure will be far too high for her, for Caine - and for all of demon-kind.

Good book

Better than the 1st three. The conclusion was okay, to destroy the evil men quickly after the torment they went through was a little let down. A little long winded and repetition in the story. The story line was good.

Not the best narrator

While I really enjoyed this series. It could have been much better with a different narrator. Also, I felt as though the author could have incorporated more romance and relationship building between the two main characters. There was an abundance of action but not much else. There seemed to be a void after the buildup in the first 3 books. By the end of the book I had pretty much lost interest. It was just too predictable and simple.

I didn't want it to end! I could have read/listened to 100 more of these books!

I adore the main characters in this series, along with the references to social issues which still exist today. It gives the story a deep sense of reality which rings true. I love how it was read by Schroeder on Audible. She made Caine sound divine indeed. While sometimes as a character, Rosalind, could be quite annoying and brash, she had a good heart, which is what counts. Schroeder gave voice to Rosalind's feelings as she grew and changed. I bought them all!

I like the story, but...

I find I can't listen because of a breathy noise at the end of each sentence.
I have listened to this narrator before with no issue, so maybe it how the mic was placed or something.
Maybe I can adjust the sound through itunes
