Wish I could rate this less than 1 star

This audiobook is so bad I'm trying to get a refund from Audible. The title and descriptive copy is completely misleading, as it has nothing to do with network marketing. It is entirely about "party" selling like Tupperware (where they came from), Mary Kay etc. Even if you are a woman interested in this kind of marketing, this program is worthless. Tedious and redundant with very little useful info and a LOT of filler. The male co-author actually has the gall to refer to himself as "Doctor" Phillips throughout the program -- though the source of his "PhD" cannot be found in any of his credentials.

Painfully Bad

Only valuable if you would like to learn more about MLM parties or are friends of the authors. Had to stop midway though, too tedious, too long and too often addressing info having nothing to do with MLM. Don't waste your time on this. Read the Ultimate Sales Machine by Chet Holmes and learn about what really counts. Sales knowledge!

As the title says.. Direct selling 101

This book covers a wide range of topics. Selling, recruiting, self esteem building for selling, how direct marketing works and the differences between different direct marketing types. This book is worth listening too if your just beginning or thinking about getting into direct marketing. Seasoned direct marketers will not get enough from it to justify the time spent listening to it, but is a wealth of information for the beginner. Covers time management and organization as well.

Very disappointing

I was very disappointed with this book. The authors sound like very nice people, but the content was geared completely toward party plan selling, not mainstream network marketing.

I am a full-time career network marketer, but there was almost nothing in the book that I could apply to my business. I wish I would have known that before purchasing the book.

The book might have value for party plan sellers, but I feel it would be a waste of money and time for other marketers.

A Must Read for Direct Sellers

this audiobook is great. it gets down to the meat & potatoes of this wonderful business. outstanding. a must read for ALL direct sellers.
