Sein Roman, der auf einer wahren Geschichte beruht, ist ein Schrei gegen die Ungerechtigkeit. Mit seinem Gespür für literarische Texte interpretiert der Schauspieler Torben Kessler die Geschichte der Nickel Boys Elwood und Turner einfühlsam und doch schonungslos.
