Der Verbrauch von Sauerstoff und die Produktion von Kohlendioxid sind lebensnotwendige Vorgänge, denn um seine lebenswichtigen Funktionen aufrechtzuerhalten, muss der Körper genügend Energie produzieren. Daraus folgt, dass der Körper des Menschen über ein Organsystem für die Abgabe von Kohlendioxid aus dem zirkulierenden Blut und der Aufnahme von Sauerstoff aus der Atmosphäre verfügen muss.
In dieser Folge geht es um Informationen hinsichtlich des Atmungssystem und dessen Aufbau. Du bekommst erläutert, was genau beim Atmen passiert. Ebenso sprechen wir über Atemsteuerung, Atemfrequenz und die Auswirkungen der Atmung auf die Psyche. Denn Atmung und Psyche hängen sehr eng zusammen. Je mehr Du über die Zusammenhänge weißt, umso leichter kannst du steuern. Du erfährst wie dir die Atmung bei Stress, Angst oder Sorgen helfen kann dein Gleichgewicht wieder zu erlangen.
Ebenso erhältst du wissenschaftliche Informationen zum Thema Atmung, ebenso wie einige Übungen die dir helfen Konzentrationsfähigkeit und Energie zu steigern.
Wir sprechen über die die Unterschiede der Nasen- und Mundatmung, die Wirkung auf die Gehirnleistung und du erfährst warum „Seufzen“ wichtig ist. Wir sprechen über Bauchatmung, das Zwerchfell und die Wirkung auf Sympathikus und Parasympathikus.

Diese Energie wird mittels Oxidation, das ist das Verbrennen von Molekülen aus Nahrungsmitteln durch Verbindung mit Sauerstoff, produziert.
Der rechte Lungenflügel besteht aus drei und der linke aus zwei Lungenlappen.
Atmung wirkst sich aber auch auf die Psyche aus: Bei Stress, Angst und Sorgen werden die Atemzüge allerdings flacher und schneller, Stress und Sorgen schnürt uns regelrecht „die Kehle zu“ und wir verkrampfen die Muskeln an unserem Oberkörper.
Die Besonderheit ist aber, dass wir die Atmung im Gegensatz zu allen anderen Funktionen des vegetativen Nervensystems bewusst steuern können, wenn wir wollen.
Interessant ist, dass sich der Effekt tatsächlich nur bei der Atmung durch die Nase nachweisen lässt. Die Mundatmung bringt keine gesteigerte Gedächtnisleistung.
Kurz gesagt: Seufzen ist ein lebensnotwendiger Reflex!
Das können fünf Minuten zwischendurch sein (4-7-8 Atmung, Poweratmung, Wechselatmung) oder eben Atemmeditationen mehrmals die Woche.
