About this listen

Desert Rescue

With his K-9's help, can he save the son he didn't know existed?

Rescuing a kidnapped child is part of the job for search-and-rescue K-9 handler Patrick Sanders—but this time it's his son. Now Patrick and his furry partner must work with his high school love, Jennie Wilcox, to shield the little boy he just learned about. But with someone targeting them, will Patrick and Jennie survive to face their painful past and become a family?

Trailing a Killer

A killer with an explosive agenda…and a K-9 and determined detective on the case.

In a hurricane's aftermath, Detective Erin Jeffries is stunned when she and her search-and-rescue K-9, Alcee, uncover a collapsed building's only survivor—her long-ago ex, Cody Elbourne. And it's quickly clear that the disaster was no accident. Now only Cody can identify the man who set the explosives that killed his grandfather…and Erin must stop the killer dead set on silencing him.

Mountain Survival

An injured victim has disappeared…can a park ranger and her K-9 find him?

When search-and-rescue park ranger Autumn Mercer and her K-9 partner, Sherlock, meet a stranger in the mountains whose brother is injured, they drop everything to help. But all they find where Derek Peterson last saw his sibling is a trail of blood—and men who want them dead. With gunmen closing in, can Autumn and Derek survive long enough to save his brother?

Pleasingly Predictable

These stories are entertaining and predictable. I appreciate the spiritual references, too. Life is so unpredictable and too often missing references to our heavenly father. it's refreshing to escape into a good wholesome story.

didn't get very far

As a person of deep faith, I found the constant reference to God, praying, asking for God's help questioning if this was what God wanted, etc annoying. i think this could have been a good story.

Each story was a stand alone

Liked the suspense, the mix of a tad of romance and mystery to keep the interest through all three books.

Enjoyed the stories of search and rescue dogs!

The stories were fun. I didn't give 5 stars because they were too short for appropriate character development and the multiple near death experiences were a bit overdone. I had a really hard time listening to narrator Emma Lysy. Her voice was grating to listen and I nearly gave up but I liked the story enough to finish.

Very exciting

Very good books. Keeps your intrest. Only down is first book is narrated by a man. I don't care for men narrators. The other two narrators were good.

This is a me problem

Desert Rescue--- I was gritting me teeth through all the "I lost faith., pray FOR me., I can't pray for that, its like commanding God.," its not real heavy handed just every chapter she says it again. I believe in the Almighty, but that's between them and me, I just don't have a need to witness to you, or from you.
Trailing a Killer ----- starts with bible verse. I'm out. If you don't mind someone's religious beliefs, party on Wayne! Desert Rescue was great and I have no reason to think the other 2 would be any different, however its not for me.

Like I said, its a me problem

If you like sermons!

These stories are just so,so. The last was the best of the three. Having said that, the characters are not very developed and they feel more like sermons than I like. It was very difficult to be truly involved with the plots.
