A Captivating Romance of Duty vs. Desire
"Defying the Lady" by Daisy Landish is a beautifully written Regency romance that draws you in with its compelling characters and an emotionally charged plot. Duke William Norrington's struggle between duty and love makes for a captivating read that tugs at the heartstrings.
Lady Sarah is a delightful heroine—her free-spirited nature and charm light up every scene. The chemistry between her and William is undeniable, and the tension between fulfilling his obligations and following his heart kept me hooked from start to finish. Landish does an excellent job of immersing readers in the glittering world of Regency society, while exploring timeless themes of honor, love, and self-discovery.
The story moves at a perfect pace, with moments of passion, witty dialogue, and heart-wrenching decisions that leave you rooting for the characters. As part of The Norrington Collection, this third installment stands out with its rich emotional depth and nuanced portrayal of love that defies societal expectations.

Charming story
This is another lovely addition to The Lady series. It is Book 20 of the series and the story focuses on William Norrington. Although quite an eligible bachelor, he has successfully avoided the marriage mart. However he cannot do so for much longer, because he has a duty to fulfill. While betrothed to one from a very young age, he unexpectedly falls in love with another. Lady Sarah captures his heart from the very moment he meets her and helps her out when she is stranded on the road with a broken carriage. The more time he spends with Sarah and gets to know her, the more he is drawn to her. The story is filled with twists and turns as William struggles between duty and love.
The story was well-written with charming characters. I listened to this as an audiobook and enjoyed the narration, which helped bring the story to life. Looking forward to the next one!
