WORTH THE WAIT

LOVED THIS BOOK AND THE SERIES. ANGIE, IAN, FELICIA, HOLLY, SO MANY GREAT CHARACTERS, AND POSSIBLY AN ADDITION TO THIS CAST. I JUST HATE THAT I MUST WAIT FOR THE NEXT BOOK, ESPECIALLY AFTER THAT CLIFFHANGER. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK (BUT START WITH BOOK 1, IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE SERIES).

Still have problems with Ian’s voice

I enjoyed listening to the story but still have problems with Ian’s voice. At some parts of the story I got confused as to who was speaking because Ian’s voice sounded like a woman’s and I wondered who entered the story. Couldn’t the narrator make an asserted effort in lowering her voice or something to at least try to indicate a male is speaking? It does distract from the story when there is no differentiation in the voices between a woman and Ian and there happens to be a lot of dialogue. The ending was also left in the air. A bit disturbing. I prefer stories to be self-contained. That way I can listen to the stories out of order and still have a sense of completion.

Real kept me guessing, looking forward to reading the next book. The narrator is really easy to listen to.

Horrible narrator

Deep Fried Revenge is a pretty good cozy mystery. Using Susan Boyce as narrator was a poor choice.

Carnivals Are Deadly

Angie and the team are competing in a Chef Competition at the local carnival. Then the first winner is murdered and there’s a murderous serial killer on the loose. Plus there’s the homeless girl that the local sheriff is protecting. A fun day at the fair it is not. Great series.

Entertaining cozy mystery

Great cozy mystery. Both the author Lyn Cahoon and the narrator Susan Boyce kept me invested from the first chapter. With a number of twists and turns and a result I didn’t see coming, I was hooked.

The characters are easy to relate to and you quickly become invested in their story. Cannot wait to read and or listen to more from this author.

Corn dogs, runaways and cooking contests!

This was enjoyable and filled with several twists and turns. The narrator improved from last time, making it easier to differentiate between characters. While enjoyable, I sometimes felt as though the main character was rather selfish or missing the point but she and several of the other secondary protagonists grew. Though the reasonings for the murders didn't make much sense or I must have missed it.

Fun . . . and Murder . . . at the Fair

The narration and the story line in this series are always spot on. A clean mystery in which I love the characters, and the huge dog, Dom. The staff at the County Seat are great, all with different personalities and quirks. The story about the homeless teenager added interest. Susan Boyce is an excellent narrator. I will definitely continue the series.

Entertaining

This story was interesting and kept me guessing until the end. Characterization is fairly well portrayed in audio by the reader, but it I wish I'd read it instead. Recommend it.
