About this listen

What she can't remember might kill her....

"She doesn't remember a thing," Rolph snapped into the phone. Andrea froze. His back was turned away from her. He didn't know she was there, listening. "It's been six months, for God's sake. If you harm one hair on her head, I'll contact the authorities. My father would be disgraced, but that will not deter me."

Now Andrea couldn't move. There was no doubt Rolph was talking about her. She wondered how his father, the French Ambassador, could be disgraced.

His voice modulated to a threatening whisper. "This is the end. Otherwise she goes directly into protective custody, and I spill my guts. You've lied to me, made me into a damned traitor, and I'm angry enough to do it out of spite."

Now Andrea knew there were secrets he was keeping from her. What did he mean about protective custody? Was she in danger? The one blank spot in her mind was a mysterious car crash. She didn't know how she had landed at the bottom of a cliff in the Santa Monica mountains of Los Angeles. She remembered the fabulous party in Beverly Hills that night, but try as she might, she couldn't remember the sequence of events leading to the accident.

Rolph's last words chilled her, "I have nothing to lose. I'm a dead man."

Incredible book!

I listen to about 25 audiobooks a month and this is the best book that I have listened to in a long time! It has lots of intrigue, a nice romance, a lot of action, and I can pretty much guarantee that you are going to want to stay up all night hearing the end of the book rather than sleeping! It’s that good! I can’t wait to read/ listen to more books by this author!

Good Book

What did you love best about Deadly Memories?

The story.

What other book might you compare Deadly Memories to and why?

Unique, it's a thriller but has a nice romance, too.

What about Carly Robins’s performance did you like?

Excellent - her French accent really ads to the story.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It's too long for one sitting, but I would have liked to. Got caught up listening.

Quite Different and Very Good!

A real page turner. Great story, wonderful characters, and a fantastic narrator. One of those works that you just want to keep listening to find out what happens next. The ending was just perfect! Anxious to read/listen to P. M. Richter's other books.

A well-written story from a very good author

Deadly Memories, my first enjoyable read from author P.M. Richter. Well-written with intriguing characters. 11-hours 2-minute/314-pages. The book begins slowly, almost to the point I was wondering about it, but then it takes off, building to a crescendo, wait no spoilers here, buy the book, read & review the book. I was given an Audible copy of this book a year ago & am just getting around to listening to it. I'm voluntarily reading & reviewing it. Carly Robins’s soft-spoken narration adds to the book's enjoyment. I'll definitely be reading more from this author. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Flirting with danger... and amnesia!

I almost always avoid books with fabulously wealthy people in luxurious settings, but sometimes you just need a bit of escapism and some romance and mystery doesn’t hurt! Intrigue and international plotting keep the action going while the genuinely good hearted characters try to sort to keep their confidences and protect their friends.
The narrator does a lovely straight read, as is my usual preference (no sound effects, etc. let my imagination do the work!)
I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys romance with a side of blackmail!

I received a free copy of this audiobook through GoodReads.
