About this listen

Every summer thousands of families head to the nation's largest water park, famous for its 21-story waterslide, the Dead Drop. This year one visitor didn't pack his bathing suit. He packed explosives. When the bomb goes off, dozens of people are instantly killed. The rest are herded into the park's massive pool by the bomber's accomplices. An organized team of fanatical but well-trained terrorists, they seal off the entrances, turn the waterslide into a watchtower, and train their sights on the families below. But one hostage isn't playing along. He's special agent Jericho Quinn. He's on vacation with his daughter. And he's about to turn this terrorist pool party into one righteous blood bath....

Great novella

Continuing on from ‘Field of Fire’ ... here’s a nice little, hero-packed action thriller with a satisfying story conclusion (something Cameron doesn’t always do).

How do these folks attract so much high stakes danger wherever they go?

Story Lacked A Little Credibility

I enjoyed the novella, but I was disappointed that except for a few exceptions, most of the park employees were seemingly Muslim fundamentalists. This makes no sense. Also, that most of them would seemingly go along with the scheme.

Too short.

I enjoyed very much but disappointed it was over and another storyline was not included.

Dead Drop

This book is a great read and aligns with the action expected of the Jericho Quinn series. My only complaint is the narrator voice is dull.

Short and sweet!

Ironically "short and sweet" cannot be a full review. So I can't leave a short and sweet review on a short and sweet book.

Short but to the point action and suspense.

I loved this book! Good action and great voice performance. Most books start off slow spending chapter after chapter building characters. By the time character introduction is done the book is half way finished. Not this book, most characters are explained in a paragraph or two. With character introduction done this book gets right to it and doesn't let up until Mr. Brooks is knocked out the end. Oh another great performance by Luke Daniels.

...outstanding novella, wish it were a full story.

Audiobook Review - …probably the best novella story I've listen to in years...! Marc Cameron wasted no time in getting to the action and doesn't disappoint. Only disappointment was the novella wasn't long enough. Still an 'outstanding' novella story! A must read if you like fast-paced action thrillers. Luke Daniels is always on point!
