About this listen

A no-nonsense female cop reluctantly teams up with the one man who makes her lose control in a deliciously sensual new novel from New York Times best-selling author Lori Foster.

To bring down a sleazy abduction ring, Lieutenant Margaret "Margo" Peterson has set herself up as bait. But recruiting Dashiel Riske as her unofficial partner is a whole other kind of danger. Dash is 6'4" of laid-back masculine charm, a man who loves life - and women - to the limit. Until Margo is threatened, and he reveals a dark side that may just match her own. Beneath Margo's tough facade is a slow-burning sexiness that drives Dash crazy. The only way to finish this case is to work together side by side - skin to skin. And as their mission takes a lethal turn, he'll have to prove he's all the man she needs - in all the ways that matter.

If you could sum up Dash of Peril in three words, what would they be?

Too much sex.

What do you think your next listen will be?

Not Lori Foster.....she is forgetting that all books need a good plot.

What about Jim Frangione’s performance did you like?

Always good.

Any additional comments?

Have always loved Lori Foster books, but lately all she writes is sex oriented. Almost every chapter had this as the number one focus. Too much already. Get back to writing stories that are fun to read....Sex is fine as part of the story. But it should not be sex with a little story written around it for support..

Too much sex....

Not as good as the others in the series, but I did enjoy how all the other characters were still in this book.

Good listen!

Lori Foster is one of my most favorite Authors. I buy all her books as you always get an Action packed Hot and Sexy listen. This series (Love Undercover) is Lori at her best. I LOVE all her characters and especially all the Alpha Men. No spoilers but you've read this series you’ll be happy to know that all previous characters are involved herein. This is yet another reason I tend to enjoy Ms. Foster’s series, she has a wonderful way of including previous couples. While still secondary - they flow easily throughout the story, important but supportive and not taking any focus away from the main couple. In this one, we get the bonus of an introduction to a spin-off series coming soon which will take the character of Cannon - a young MMA style fighter who is one of those secondary characters I mentioned that’s already made a big impression on me. I always knew Cannon would get a story but she’s commingled characters from her beloved SBC Fighters series here…

This story has it all and keeps you on the edge of your seat. It's also full of Lori's wonderfully described Sex/Love scenes. Always a big plus when listening to the great Lori Foster... Once again Jim Frangione out one him-self and delivered a perfect narration. BIG Smiles all round here. :)

Lori has out-done her-self - Incredibly enjoyable!

This series is awesome!! I believe they could all be a standalone listens, but I thoroughly enjoyed the first 3 books as well as this one: My first one was Getting Rowdy (book 3) which I grabbed as a BOGO primarily because I love Jim Frangione's narration to the depths of my soul. I'm so glad I did because now I also love Lori Foster's writing in the same way. In this book, Dash and Margo find their happy, and it's a great ride. Fortunately, it also sets the stage for Cannon to be involved in another series which features a more MMA theme, and I can't wait to dig into it. I sincerely hope we will have some cameos of the Love Undercover crowd now and then.

This is one of those situations where getting the freebie led to the discovery of an author whose work is automatically put in my wish list. I am SO happy to find that JF also performs many of her other books and that they are all available in Audible!!!!! Yippee!! It's like my birthday! I highly recommend this sexy, funny, exciting and wholly entertaining series.

End of a Great Series

I loved it. I'm hoping there's a book 5 which will be about Cannon. Here's hoping!

Read It File It Review: Dash of Peril by Lori Foster was not my favorite in the series but seeing all my favorite characters made me smile! This was a tough review for me to write because most of this series has been spectacular for me (Rowdy's book was a rare 5 for me) but I just never connected with the love story between Dash and Margo. That happens occasionally. The writing was great (as always) and I am really looking forward to the spin-off with Cannon!

Audio Thoughts:

Narrated by: Jim Frangione /Length: 14 hrs

Jim Frangione did a great job with Dash of Peril by Lori Foster. He had just the right amount of attitude for both of the lead characters. I think I enjoyed the book a bit more because of his narration.

Great Writing/Story didn't work for me
