Publisher's summary

Fear Another Day, the second book:

Nadia, alone and frightened, runs not only from the infected but also the guilt that hounds her footsteps. Within her veins her she carries a secret, one that could change the course of humanity. Haunted by the death of his beloved, Logan wanders the highways in search of redemption. He stumbles upon Nadia, and in saving her, he finds a measure of peace.

Back home, Max is doing his best to lead the camp into a future worth living. When a new enemy surfaces, he faces a danger unlike any he's fought before. With their survival at stake, he prepares for battle, one that could cost them everything.

As the sun sets against the backdrop of the African veldt, shining on the last remnants of humanity. A few hold on to their values while others prey on the weak, replacing the undead as the new apex predator in the food chain.

Live Another Day, the third book:

Max prepares to battle Ke Tau, a brutal killer who hungers for ultimate power. His efforts are hampered by dwindling supplies and the ever-present threat of the undead. With morale at an all-time low, the camp's inhabitants will have to stand together and face their fears if they wish to survive.

Logan and Nadia team up with Martin, an old friend of Max's. Now the leader of a burgeoning town, Martin is eager to see his friend once more and establish an alliance. They set off across the breadth of South Africa, but will they arrive in time to help? Or will everything they hope for be gone already?

As night falls across the African veldt, darkness threatens those who struggle to survive within its cold embrace. With the dawn of a new era, humanity's last hope rests in the hands of ordinary men and women called to do extraordinary things.

All it takes is one mistake....

Great follow up to the first book

I really enjoy this series. I definitely felt that the first book ended somewhat abruptly in some regards. This one was better in that regard.

now that's a story-spolier alert

this book series has left me guessing after every chapter. you never know how the chapters will end. just when you think that Logan can finally be happy things happen, < not going to spoil to much>, just when you think the group can be safe, things happen, and just when you think all hope is lost, things happen. thanks for an interesting, spine tingling, don't stop reading<or listening>, heart tugging and fist bumping series!

Right Pace

The accents are off putting. But overall good story with a good balance of action with out constant graphic violence. Little ugg over some of the silly characteristics applied to the women.

Dangerous Days

I enjoyed this listen. The first book was included. I used my monthly freebie and it was worth it. It could have been longer but oh well. I recommend. Narrator does a jam up job as well.

Great story.

I'm all for the dystopian type of book to listen to. I truly enjoy how this series goes with each chapter continuing from the perspective of the characters. A must listen!!

Great Zombie Read

I've read books 1-3 and they did not disappoint. I like that main characters die, just like real life. I like the varying personalities and how they all struggle with turmoil. I think it's important for the reader to engage in all parts of the storyline. Whether I had empathy or apathy for the characters they were all very relatable and I wanted to know all about them. The storyline was easy to follow, always interesting, and kept me listening well into the night. I am excited to start book 4. cause, we'll, zombies are my jam 😬😁

feminist romance zombie apocalypse fiction

at one point in the story a male character says it seems like a romanticsoap opera around here, and that sums up. this book.another character says I'll spare you the details, which is what the author does with anything interesting that happens here.why would the author write this kind of book? she obviously has no knowledge or interest in science curiosity about zombies... refers to every single gun in the book is either a pistol or a rifle... without ever naming it.she has a male characters obsessed with getting guns all the time but never hardly mentions ammo. the entire book is written around characters having feelings...once the ceilings are over we go back to nondescript action that has nothing to do with those feelings. the author has no insight or curiosity about tactics... everyone just rushes headlong into every battle... she doesn't understand the power of Guns and every conclusion of a battle is decided by a spear or a knife.the characters are interchangeable I have trouble telling the difference between them especially since they all had the exact same South African accent. every male character gets his comeuppance or is dominated by a woman.. the only compelling description of anything's but ceilings is in violence against women, and that's how all bad guys are reflected not in anything that they do other than potential or implied violence to women. the villain is shallow and a caricature... and of course is finished off by being killed by two young girls...cement characters are all being portrayed as I peed like stoic women who can only be men by repressing their seeding emotions. the romance is repetitive and predictable with a band inexplicably falls head-over-heels in saint boy like love with a woman who resist his advances over and over and then only reluctantly accept him.. this is like a Harlequin romance with zombies. the optional zombies are never described as anything other than the zombie male for the zombie female... we don't know anything about them or even what race they are because it doesn't matter...80% of the zombies are killed by being stabbed through the eyeball, over and over and over every zombie is killed by being stabbed through the eyeball salmon in heroin has a special weapons across she sharpened and her preferred method of killing zombies is to stab them through the eyeball.I suffered through three of these books hoping that it would get better and it did her riding on the characters feeling improved much...at the expense of the details about plots tactics guns the apocalypse survivalism science forms of government how men would really think combat tactics food.... really anything other than ceiling. who exactly was this book written for? how many romance genre female readers are going to be interested in a zombie scene the romance book?
