About this listen

A new stand-alone enemies-to-lovers romance from USA Today best-selling author K.A. Linde…

Court Kensington is a thorn in my side. I’m hired to clean up his badboy image, which would’ve been easy if my life wasn’t falling apart. First, I catch my movie star husband having an affair with his co-star. Then when I return to work, my job is at stake, because Court has gotten himself into trouble...again.

Instead of getting him back in line, I find myself falling for his charm. And into his bed. And against the wall. And, and, and...Except Kensington charm shouldn’t work on me. Not when I’ve sworn to never ever sleep with a client.

I had good intentions. I really did. But we all know the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

This series is great

I love this series, and these two characters were fantastic. The whole crew is involved in all of these books and it makes it that much better.
The female narration was spot on, where as the male was hard to relate to at times. Overall an amazing book and a must read/listen

An easy 5 star storyline and narration!! Such an easy listen!

“We hated each other so supremely that somehow at any second it could tip the other direction.” Love, love, love Court Kensington and Anna English’s story! This book is everything I want in and enemies to lovers story! My favorite book of the Cruel series!

I’ve been sooooo intrigued by Court since we were introduced to him in Penn’s books! He seemed like such a jerk but I’ve loved seeing his character development throughout Penn’s trilogy and then Lark’s book. He’s already grown through the first 4 books so I couldn’t wait for his story! I highly suggest reading this series in order for the full depth of Court and how far he’s come!

The story of English and Court is a slow burn as both have a lot they are figuring out. It is such a good push and pull between the two of them as not only is she working for him and they hate each other but they also both just got out of relationships that burned them. First, English was hired by Court’s mom to be his publicist and clean up his image while she reruns for Mayor or NY and he does not like it. Court also just got out of a long relationship after his girlfriend went to jail for being a con artist. Then there is English who also was hurt as she caught her husband cheating on her and is getting a divorce. Both of their lives are a mess, she works for him and they both get so mad at each other all the time. How could anything ever develop between them? This book is such a well written and intriguing plot line seeing these two develop separately and together!

Erin Mallon and Stephen Dexter kill it again!!! I love that K.A. Linde used these 2 narrators for the other Kensington brother as well! It was the perfect casting!

The Hating Season

The story isn't original but I still enjoyed it... but I could only get through half of it because of the repetition of "upper eastside". It literally drove me crazy because it really seems like just trying to get word count and used it entirely too much!!! The only thing that truly got me through half was the narrators.

Nothing special...

This book was so annoying!!! After listening to this book I hope to never hear “The upper east side” ever again!!! I wouldn’t recommend this book to anyone.
