The story progressed at a good pace too good because I felt like it ended sooner than I wanted it to. I look forward to the next book as well

I think this is seriously the best one yet. I enjoy all of Seth's books and I really liked the first one in this series but this was perfect. The pace was perfect, the plot was interesting and unpredictable, the characters fun and interesting, I can't wait for more!

I loved it! My only complaint is that the books of this series are about half as long as I'd like.

I cannot wait for the book! I wanted more and more with this saga! Intriguing future is hinted ahead for the brilliantly humble hero in the making. Secret society, the ranking power card system, potential growth of the young hero

Another great story

While I'm unsure why my triple 5 stars review of Book 1 of the series was removed, I found book 2 equally entertaining. Book 2 sees Mateo and his two companions making up their feather split up into their separate advanced training groups and most of the book focuses on Mateo's training and covert assignments. They eventually reform after completion of their advanced skills training and are given their assignment as an integral Iron Tyrant feather of the empire.

What following is dangerous court intrigue, bloody assassination attempts and more reveals to Mateo about how and what motivated his master to have him enslaved.

I do have a slight concern that Mateo is becoming too OP at this stage of the series but not so much that I won't hesitate to follow-on with the series.

Ramón de Ocampo's performance is extremely well narrated.

An Enjoyable Followup to the Series

I was a little nervous that this series would be mediocre, however I was happily surprised. Great character development and it was not stagnant.

Great sequel
