About this listen

The internationally best-selling Imdalind series comes to a close in this long awaited, heart-pounding conclusion.

For centuries the war that has raged within magic has ripped the world apart. Fought between Skȓítek and Trpaslík; killing father and son, and destroying a fragile balance between mortal and magic.

For centuries everyone has been awaiting the Silnỳ, searching for the girl who was prophesized. The girl with power strong enough to defeat the evil that plagued the world and bring the war to an end.

For centuries, everyone was wrong.

The Silnỳ was not what they had been told, the promises of future distorted by a sight that was tarnished.

The evil was not what they had expected, not what they had been fighting against. Instead it was hidden amongst them; plotting, waiting for their time to strike.

And it did. With fire and blade the hidden evil took its place upon a throne of blood. The evil has shown itself and now only one person can save them all.

But with Sights that are no longer infallible and armies that are abandoning their king - it is no longer clear who that person is, or even if they have the courage to stand up to the evil and face their end.

Left Wanting

I read this entire series. I couldn't stop reading them in truth. The only thing that annoyed me was that the main character was so Weak Acting. I keep thinking she would get more sure of herself but she never really did. I loved all the other characters, esp Gwen. This is a Great Series but be prepared to be left wanting at the end. I honestly could not believe that after 7 books it simply ended that way. I would recommend this series but with a gentle reminder to try and get over these things.

Great narrator

The narrator really brought the story to life. Characters had unique voices and sounded male or female.

Ending Wasn't Finished

Was it just me or did the end of this book not seem finished? After seven books I was expecting a more complete ending.

Descent into darkness

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I really enjoyed the first books in this series but the author does too well of a job describing the magical descent into darkness and madness for my taste.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

I like the quirky and real relationships/friendships created by the author and depicted by the reader.

A bit disappointed

Although I loved all the books in this series, this one only left me with unanswered questions! I'm not too sure if I like it or not. I rated all the others 5 stars, but not this one. I don't like when a series end leaving me with questions as this one did.
