It is a very possible future event and pretending this threat does not exist just doesn’t make sense anymore.

Carlos Mack carefully relates incidents from past wars when nuclear weapons were used. He describes in detail the disastrous effects they’ve had on mankind. I hope we will never have to experience a nuclear blast as many people in other parts of the world have, but if the possibility is there, this audiobook can teach the listener how to prepare for the aftermath of such a devastating event. Various strategies for protecting yourself and your family are outlined and discussed.

Being prepared is always a good idea. That way, you’re ready, just in case. Understanding what to expect will help with preparations. Everything you need to know, from the history of nuclear war to the many survival techniques and strategies, and which supplies to have on hand, is in this book. It's scary to think this topic is one we may have to face, but I am so thankful that this book is out there! The author did such a good job with explaining exactly what is needed and how to go about living through nuclear disaster. This is book everyone should read/listen to to get ready for what's to come!

This book is a great guide for survival especially during this time of uncertainty. A nuclear war can happen anytime and disrupt the entire world. And only those equipped with the necessary skills can make it through such a life-changing crisis. We certainly do not hope that this will happen but it makes perfect sense to be prepared for the worst. The author provides a complete guide from building a sturdy shelter to personal safety and protection.

Given how unpredictable and volatile things are, you can’t be too prepared, and it’s crucial to learn skills and knowledge to create some certainty in an uncertain world.

I’ve purchased several survival guides, and I recommend this one because it is both comprehensive and easy to understand. Not only does it have practical, tangible action items, but it also provides ways to handle the worst-case scenarios within the worst-case scenario as well as addressing the psychological component.

While I hope I never need to use some of the information in this book (some of it I will certainly use even outside of nuclear war), I feel much more empowered to help myself and others and that’s priceless.
