Obituary writer Nadine Barbault doesn’t mind being called “Lady Death”. It suits the ice queen persona she’s cultivated to survive the fast-paced Toronto Herald. So when Nadine learns that famous (and reclusive) author Dot Voline has died, she doesn’t hesitate to run the obituary…only to discover that Dot is very much alive. Nadine’s screw-up has brought Wesley Chen of the rival Spear no end of joy—she’s been a thorn in his extremely ambitious side for years. Story
After watching my mother succumb to a mysterious illness, I promised myself two things. I'd find the cure for what ravaged her and leave the godforsaken city where she abandoned me. Four years later, I received an acceptance letter from Dracadia University, one of the oldest most prestigious schools in the country. Nestled on a secluded island off the coast of Maine, it's rumored to be haunted by the souls of the mental patients exiled there centuries before, those whose bones are said to make up the island's white sandy shores. And restless ghosts aren't even its most daunting peculiarity.

I loved the dynamics of this pair!
As in Book One this is Frida and Gunnar’s account of the story and how it evolves from their perspective.
Once shunned and misunderstood by what she sees, Frida has resigned herself to a lonely existence amongst her people.
Finding herself attracted to and looking after one of the shipwrecked men, life on the island takes a turn for the better.
Finding himself living with a beautiful woman while he heals and being equally attracted to Frida, Gunnar makes the most of the situation.
I found this story captivating and loved the build up of their relationship along with the problems that arose.
Many questions still to be answered as these stories progress.
Looking forward to the journey.
I have just finished listening to the audiobook and always enjoy listening to Gareth J Davies.
His voice and the addition of the background noise in places is always a delight.

Caught By The Love Bug
Six vikings are found on the shore of an island inhabited by women after their boat sinks. They are injured and in need of care. The injured men are separated and taken to individual huts to be tended. This story is about Frida and Gunnar. Two people who are loners. Frida because of her gift of sight and Gunnar because his caring for horses kept his life fulfilled. While he is healing under Frida’s care, he discovers maybe it’s time for something more in his life. A passionate love develops between them but will Frida’s secret tear them apart. Will Frida get the child she craves even if she can’t have the man she wants. Can Frida and Gunnar find what they need in their lives? Book two was wonderful and the narrator was great. I can’t wait to see who catches the love bug next. Be prepared for some steamy passion. These books are all stand alone stories but I would reading them all.

Craved By The Viking
I enjoyed the interaction with everyone and how Freya was finally being recognized without judgement and was coming out of her comfort zone. The men were healing and trust was beginning. Everyone is being showcased on their interactions and abilities to be part of a group. Trust is beginning amongst them.
The storyline and writing is excellent and I found myself listening and thinking of the paths it could lead the listener to. I enjoyed the progress they are making with the men healing, hoping to make it back to their home and the relationships with the women, many of whom are family on the island but with relationships being formed, are hoping to leave if the men are able and allowed to. This is an interesting series of this genre that could be fleshed out for some time with these two talented authors co-writing it.
The narrator reading the story is superb! He has a very pleasant, soothing tone and voice and is skilled in speaking as different characters.
I was offered this Audible book for my honest opinion and review. I would highly recommend it to those who enjoy an outstanding Gothic series.

Frida and Gunnar
This is the second in the series, continues telling what happened when a ship is wrecked on the beach of an island inhabited solely by women. I enjoyed the excellent descriptive writing of Felicity Brandon and Anna Quinn the storyline, the world-building and the well-drawn characters make this book a joy to listen to. The narration is performed by Gareth J Davies who always delivers!
When six survivors of the wreck each one is injured and unconscious are found on the beach. The matriarch of the village instructs six of the women to take a male home and nurse them back to health.
This time it's the turn of Frida to do her duty and bear a child to ensure the continued population of her home. The Viking assigned to her care was Gunnar. Frida is very different to her sister Hedda, she is much more reserved. It was Frida who first discovered the wreck on the beach, she has a gift, she can sometimes see what is to come. But she was blamed when she foretold that a sickness would strike the men on her island so now keeps her visions to herself. Having been woken by dreams and noticing signs she is drawn to the beach where she first encounters Gunnar.
Frida has a much softer caring nature than Hedda, she's innocent having always been thought strange because of her gift and avoided by the men on the island. So when she has to care for the bed-bound Gunner her approach, and her innocent curiosity about Gunner's body as she gives him daily bed-baths is bound to bring them closer. But does he find her attractive and will he still want her when he discovers her gift?
Their connection was steamy and Gunner was gentle and kind as he taught her everything she needed to know but does he love her as she now loves him? I look forward to the next instalment where hopefully we will learn more what's to befall the island and it's inhabitants.

Frida and Gunnar
The second story in the Bound and Betrothed, Frida and Gunnar's story. It is well written with a very good storyline and great characters. There is drama, danger, suspense, twists, turns, a misunderstanding and romance. Eldberg and Hedda are also in this story. I enjoyed listening to Gareth J Davies narrate this story. I would like to listen to the next story.

Great shortish Viking romance
So very different from book 1, but just as delicious! Both main characters had insecurities that were endearing but hampered the growth of their relationship. I enjoyed watching them overcome those challenges and look forward to the next book in the series.
Narration was perfect! Love the growly voice for the MMC.

Enjoyed Frida and Gunnar. Good narration.
This was the second in the series but takes place at the same time as book 1 - Tamed by the Viking. This was Frida's point of view, and her Viking was Gunnar. Frida had a softer approach, and her curiosity with her patient's physique brought her closer to him. Their connection was steamy. I look forward to the next, and hopefully, more will be explained as to the why and what's to come.
The narration by Gareth J. Davies was a continuation of the first book, and he did a wonderful job with all the characters.
This is my unsolicited review.
