Publisher's summary

Twelve-year-old Sean West, also known as Country, sees an explosion of light and finds clues that lead him to Clicker, a young alien from the planet Sory, who wants to know what it's like to be a boy on Earth. Country and his friends take Clicker fishing, ride dirt bikes, and tangle with ground bees. They're not only thwarted by Country's sister, but by the local Sheriff, the FBI, and some thieves from Venatici.

Cute Story

Where does Country and the Rock rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

In the top 10, but I've only listened to five so far. Just joking around. I've read the book and I liked it.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Country and the Rock?

The mystery of the rock and how Country discovers what it's all about. Don't want to give away any spoilers.

What aspect of John McBride’s performance would you have changed?

I wanted to hear a boy's voice. While the narrator has a fine voice, I didn't like it for a kids book.

Any additional comments?

Overall, a fun read which the target age group would enjoy. I'd recommend reading instead of listening since the narrator just didn't add to the experience for me.
