About this listen

Samantha Becker is a busy and talented trauma surgeon with no time for nonsense. Her sister may have a special Shifter Gene, but Sammie is fairly certain she doesn't have it, and she's happy with her life the way it is. She doesn't need the complicated Shifter lifestyle, and she certainly doesn't need Liam Keller: Alpha cougar, Mayor of Cougarville, and undercover billionaire. She hates him, but Liam is unable to get the curvy surgeon out of his head.

But the Shifter world isn't ready to let Sammie go. She's being stalked by someone who's desperate for Shifter hormones, and Liam takes it upon himself to protect Sammie from harm. Things begin heating up between Sammie and Liam, but will they have to succumb to their inner animals in order to save Sammie's life?

Cougar Bait is fun and sexy and will take listeners on an emotional thrill ride.

Obnoxious Female

Another story involving an intelligent female with extremely obnoxious tendencies. I’m glad Liam was more likable in this book; he was a piece of work in the previous book. He is actually a man to love; now if he could find a woman worthy of his love because Ms wishy washy Samantha ain't it! The narrator did a good job. Will listen to the next book; stories are interesting.

Great Story

I had read book one so I got to know most of the characters from there. To be honest I was not certain how I would feel about this book. I did not like Liam Keller at all in the last book. It takes true talent for an author to take a character that probably a lot of people hate and win her readers over. Well Evangeline did just that. I was probably about 8% in the book and I was starting to warm up to Liam.

Liam had this wall built up due to past hurt and some pretty bad and sad things that happen in his past he did not want to allow himself to love again. He did how ever want a shifter baby to carry on his legacy. Well until he met Samantha. He feel hard for Samantha. Little by little she was tearing down the walls brick by brick.

Samantha was so hard headed. She did not want love and she did not want a child. She was focus on one thing in her life and that is her career. I guess I can understand that to a certain degree but it truly seems like a sad and lonely life to me.

I found some funny parts in this book. Like the hospital and the unreliable nurse. Oh, that was truly funny. Oh, sorry you will have to read the book to find out more.

Samantha feels strongly she does not have the shifter gene but Liam is worried about it becoming active. Samantha is headed to a very dangerous place and has a crazy stalker after her. I truly was creeped out by this guy when reading the book. Samantha is so strong headed that she feels she can protect herself, but what if that is not true?

I loved reading about Samantha and Liam’s time in Vegas. Yeah things got pretty steamy and we get to see a side of Liam we did not know was there. He is not only protective but caring, loving, passionate, and can swoon a girl off her feet.

I loved the connection that Sammantha has with her sister. It is the twin connection we alway hear about. I also love how Mathis wanted to make sure everyone knew that Samantha was his family and under his protection. There was some bad blood between Liam and Mathis. Can they put a side their disagreements and come together and keep Samantha safe?

This was truly a great story and glad I got to read the book.

a little annoying

I usually like strong female characters however this character was annoying always wondering doubting yourself even though she successful good-looking has her life in order. I found her a little irritating also witchy good stuck in a jail and she says no book no food.. lol he kidnapped you of course there's not going to be People magazine in the prison..lol I did enjoy the male character I like how he was a villain and the author was able to make him a good guy which then turns into me. I did enjoy the male character I'd like how he was a villain and the author was able to make him a good guy which then turn into me likening him . I want 2 get the 3rd book however I really can't stand both women characters. so.. I wait until I'm cam handle it.

Steamy, but characters need a bit work.

I like the Alien Mate Index and the Kindred series better than this one. Samantha drove me crazy, her doubts and back and forth emotion was over the top and then she changed her mind. She then wanted the same things she had been pushes Keller away from her during the whole book. I like Keller way better this time around than in the last book. I was reluctant to read this because he was such a tool in the first book. I like the story enough that I will try the next book and see where it goes. Evangeline Anderson can have some steamy books. Not my favorite narrator, a bit too soft.

"Beautiful"

The suspense.. the thrills and not to memtion the actions... Amazzing . Every minute of the book was breath taking and kept me on my to toes. The polt just kept twist and bending, this has got to be the best book from the series so far and in I'm just waiting for the next book.

Below average

I have a high tolerance to mundane stories but leaking golden liquid and a very selfish female lead was a bit much

Terrible narration.

This story was not for me, Boring and annoying narration. I read the book and like the story but hearing it irritated and annoyed me, plus put me to sleep. Fast forwarding it was the only way I could finish. The narrator did not make the reading engaging or enjoyable. A real snooze fest.
