About this listen

A witch and a son of Corvus must combine their powers to defeat the witch goddess, and save the souls of the Merulas trapped in the Shadowlands.

As host of the newscast, "The Scoop At Five: Live!", Catriona Remington prefers to show the world a brave face. Inside she's barely keeping it together, worrying over the fates of Sarina and Jonathan Lance. After they located the twins' missing father in Blackwater Hills, Sarina stayed behind by choice. Jonathan, however, is being held prisoner in the castle dungeon.

When she receives disturbing news from the senior "Medicus" of Blackwater castle, Catriona enlists J. Lance Sr.'s help to infiltrate the dimension of the children of Corvus and aid her friends. But an irresistible attraction to Samuel Singleton, the newly crowned leader of the tribe, awakens a power she's been suppressing since leaving the coven. Also complicating matters, is Sarina's mystifying and debilitating illness. When Catriona follows Samuel into the Shadowlands to rescue his father, she finds herself at the mercy of the witch goddess and her demons.

To save his father's spirit and protect his mate, Samuel must learn to embrace his power and his duty to his tribe as the Merula. He must also learn to accept "Bestiae" - the god-like part of himself he can't control.

Can Catriona be the bridge that ends the centuries' long feud between the children of Corvus and the daughters of Venefica? Or will the fact that she is a witch irreparably damage the Balance in Blackwater Hills, and provoke the wrath of the Raven of Otherworld?

Book three in the award-winning contemporary fantasy trilogy about a tribe of shapeshifters in northern Maine, USA.

Good Continuation

I got this story via audiobook boom and this is my voluntary review. I need to begin with the narrator. For most of the book, I could not understand his accent and it forced my head from the story several times and especially toward the end. His accent got even more pronounced and I could barely understand the words. Now to the story, I did not listen to the second book but got the world-building in the first book. At one pint I wanted to say forget it but I kept listening until the end. I loved how it ended and know that the next book will be a good one as well. It is good to see a person come into the person they are meant to be and to see them tackle the challenges that life throws at them. The HEA was good. Perhaps I listened to it at the wrong time of day but the narrator kept taking me in and out of the story.

Final Book In The Audio Series

Corvus: Children of Corvus, Book 3, rounds out this trilogy by L.E. Harrison. Samuel Singleton is coming to terms with his new found position within the clan. He also needs to figure out who his true allies are.

Narrator, Andrew McDermott gives a stellar 🌟 performance once again. He is definitely in my top five favorite narrators.

Some shocking revelations............

Corvus is the third book in this series, and they definitely need to be listened to in order to understand the story line and plot. So much of the world building takes place in the first book, and this third book is truly a continuation of book two. Corvus starts out almost immediately after the ending of the second book, and we have most of the same characters with the addition of a new and unusual female lead. Catriona is of all things the star of her own newscast, which seems crazy given the highly secretive nature of the Corvus and the Black Hills. However, Catriona soon proves to have more in common with these supernatural beings then she could have guessed. She is pulled into this mystical world because she wants to help her friends, Sarina and Jonathan, but her life is changed irrevocably when she meets Sam, the newly appointed leader of the Corvus. I have enjoyed Sam's character from the beginning, and it was so exciting to watch him find his mate, fall in love and grow ever stronger in his role as leader. If you enjoy a good fantasy tale with lots of action and plenty of strong, resilient characters, the entire Children of Corvus series is an excellent choice.

Andrew McDermott's narration is fantastic. I absolutely love his Irish accent, and he truly makes this interesting story even more enjoyable as an audiobook. He doesn't differentiate overly between characters, but I could still easily follow the story. I will be looking for more of his narrations in the future.

I received a copy of this audiobook at my request in exchange for this honest review.

HEA and more to come!¡

I loved this book. It wrapped up the adventure that began in the merula and all of the main characters had their form I of an hea. I am so proud of Sami and his progress to becoming a man and ruler of his tribe. I was happy to find out the cure for Serena and the relationship between her twin Johnathan and Katie. I am still suspicious of Jackson and want to know more about his story. Overall, I enjoyed the two books and will be looking for the next installation. I am so happy to have been introduced to this author and will check out her other works. I recommend this book. I also love the narrator, he is very talented

Great Read

Corvus (The Children of Corvus Book Three) was a good read by L.E. Harrison. Sarina stayed behind after finding her father and Jonathan is being held prisoner in the castle dungeon for homicide. Catriona and their father infiltrate the dimension of the children of Corvus to aid her friends. She has an irresistible attraction to Samuel, the newly crowned leader of the tribe. Sarina has a mystifying and debilitating illness. Samuel has to learn to embrace his power and duty to save his father’s spirit and protect his mate. I really enjoyed reading this book and cant wait to read more by the author.
