Publisher's summary
The subs collide, and the Russian ship sinks to the bottom, crippled. Only Seawolf knows where Severodvinsk is, but the Russian authorities are too angry to listen to the Americans, even in matters of life and death.
Mitchell and his shipmates must keep their own damaged vessel afloat, figure out a way to make the Russians listen, and keep the trapped submariners alive until they can be saved - if that is even possible.
Larry Bond uses his experience as an intelligence officer, warfare analyst, and antisubmarine technology specialist to give readers an expertly crafted techno-thriller. Like Run Silent, Run Deep and The Hunt for Red October, Cold Choices takes readers deep into the minds of submariners and the treacherous world in which they dwell.

Story
In the not-too-distant future, massive climate change has wracked the globe. China's rice-growing regions have been devastated by typhoons, while its western breadbasket is suffering from three years of drought. Riots threaten to tear the country apart. With the old-guard Chinese government paralyzed by the crisis, a young, charismatic party leader steps to the fore. His solution to the unrest is a time-tested one - conquest of China's neighbors and, after that, the world.

Story
This is the book that dares to show us the military hardware, global upheavals, and raw combat a second Korean War would unleash. How F-16s would blast across the 38th Parallel. How ultra-modern submarines would vie for the seas. And how two armies would turn the snowfields of Asia red with blood. A thundering geopolitical thriller of vast scope, this is Red Phoenix - and a new standard for military/political suspense fiction.

Story
In a bid to dominate Asia and the western Pacific, China provokes a military crisis with the United States and then starts shooting down GPS satellites. America has only a short amount of time to devise some way of protecting its remaining satellites or China will gain an enormous advantage in the coming conflict. The only way the satellites can be protected is from orbit, so an armed spacecraft must be quickly designed, built, and launched to fight on this new battlefield.

Story
The USS Kentucky - a Trident ballistic missile submarine carrying a full complement of 192 nuclear warheads - sets out on a routine cruise. Not long after it reaches the open sea, however, the Kentucky receives a launch order. After receiving that launch order, it is cut off from all counter orders and disappears into the Pacific while it makes the eight-day transit to the launch site. What the Kentucky's crew doesn't know is that those launch orders didn't come from the US government.

Story
The United States is under attack. From the sea and the sky, the devastating attacks come, crippling the US military's ability to respond. Thousands have been killed and injured. For President Cord Macklin, this is the greatest challenge of his life, greater than risking his life in the skies over Vietnam and greater than guiding the country through some of the most trying times. But none has been more trying than this. Below the sea, a predator stalks the pride of America's Navy: its aircraft carriers. Deadly and silent, this killer seems able to elude all efforts to find it.

Crewed by an eclectic team of seafarers, the Bounty was led by Robin Walbridge, their highly respected captain with decades at the helm, whose actions - sometimes questionable - decided the fate of his ship and crew.

I liked it!
I was wishing i hadn't already read Hunt for Red October several times because i was in a mood to hear it again, and then i found this book. It was just what i was looking for. There was good character development, and enough technology, politics and navy protocols to keep things interesting. I drive truck for a living and it kept me going and alert for several days of driving. I thought it was a good solid well written book and was sad for it to end.

Great Great Novel !
The first time I read this book (or listened on Audible) I may have been unkind. I wasn't feeling well that day and I don't remember what I said. This is by FAR the best submarine novel I have ever read/heard. I t beats "The Hunt for Red October " which is a great read. I would or I wish this to become a Big Screen movie ! I believe that it would play for quite a while !
