Publisher's summary

In the blink of an eye, it all ended.

When Amanda Thomlin finds herself face-to-face with the reality that she may never see her mother again, the overwhelming uncertainty nearly immobilizes her. A kind father figure steps up and takes her under his protection, bringing her into his family.

Once Jonah Anderson realizes that an EMP has ripped their world apart, he makes his way back to the farm, the refuge he’s known all his life. Their journey back to Oxford sets the stage for more than any of them could have imagined.

Lives, friends, and family merge to become stronger than they thought possible in the face of the chaos that follows.

When their homestead becomes ground zero for a war they never asked for, each of them must give all they have to survive.

If you are a fan of apocalyptic stories and love relatable characters, check out this nerve-shredding tale that promises a roller-coaster ride from start to finish. A small group who becomes a family in a desperate conflict with the worst humanity has to offer work together to navigate the most devastating attack America has ever faced.

DJ Cooper wreaks havoc in the October Fall World, with this latest perspective set just north of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Sad story

This book was not worth listening to. The narrator was not very good. Left a lot to be desired.

Ugggg

The narrator definitely had a head cold or something. Double read several sentences. His different voices were just bad. Really really bad. I had to turn it off several times before I could finish it.
Story. I have to agree with a previous comment. This is a great effort from an 8th grader. Character development was almost non existent. Bounced around everywhere. Had I listen to this one first, I would not have listened to Texas Falls. Texas Falls is an Excellent book. Not enough good words available for that one.

Sub par performance- ok story

Narration was poor and unprofessional. There were partial sentences re-read and some voices sounded very annoying. I wanted to like it, but I didn’t.

Ummm…

Where to start… I felt like I was reading this for a friend who really really wanted to be a great writer and wondered the whole time how to tell him that he should stick to his day job. The story is so choppy and bizarre I was left wondering what the heck was going on and who in their right mind published this much less turned it into an audiobook. If this is the best of the “October Falls” series and that’s why it was put out as the first audiobook then I’ll definitely pass on the rest.

On the other hand, if this was written by an 8th grader than kudos young man! Keep trying and maybe someday your writing will mature and develop into something worthwhile. Stay in school and keep learning!

Narration was ok.

This book shows sucked

Children’s book! Written by an author who has not a clue about firearms! Obvious no idea about martial arts.

Expected better

The story was poorly written and poorly produced. The writing is what you would expect from 10th grader. Choppy story line with lots of useless filler that takes away from the book. The production is the worst with several places that lines are repeated. As a fan of Craven I stuck it out through the whole book hoping it would get better. It never did.
