About this listen

'Tis the season for pasta and mayhem.

Andy Buckland is determined that nothing will interrupt her first Christmas with Malcolm Jones and her last holiday spent in her childhood home. When the family recipe book disappears from the Bowtie Angel, and Aunt Cecily threatens to put "The Eye" on the entire population of Beaverton if it isn't returned, Andy and Jones decide to put the eggnog on hold for a little old fashioned sleuthing. But as one secret leads to another and rumors are served up along with hot buttered penne, Andy can't shake the suspicion that her life is about to change forever.

Happy Christmas

Spending the holidays with Andy, Malcolm and the zany characters from this series is never dull. Andy's hilarious one liners makes this series worth reading.
Suzanne Cerreta brought her A- game voicing the gang.

Really cute and short. No murders. I’m new to the series and will listen to more. Narrator was good.

Heartwarming

This book even though it’s short gave me all the feels. This little novella is the second in the al dente series that is turning out to be fantastic. Cozy mystery with tons of heart and humor. With the holidays looming and problems piling up Andy is overwhelmed. That’s all I’m telling you. Seriously loved it. The narrator continues to do swimmingly though there is some things that should have been caught in editing. One second the narrator Sounds Normal then she sounds super close then back to normal. It only happened a few times but regardless I loved the story and the way she does all the characters.

Christmas Al Dente

A short feel good story with less mystery and more feel good. I really like these characters and the quick dialog.

Again, Suzanne Cerreta is perfect

Enjoyable Christmas Novella

I really enjoyed this Christmas novella. The family recipe book was missing, and this story detailed how Andy spent time searching for it. The tale was fun and amusing. It was a seasonal short story that can help to put one in a holiday mood. I recommend this series to others who enjoy this genre. Suzanne Cerreta's narration was vibrant and entertaining. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily posted this review.

nostalgia

I'm a proud 2nd generation American but this little treat of an Italian family Christmas made me look back at my younger self. The foods, the family, opening of gifts. Remembering those that had left us and loving those still with us. North, south, east or west we can all enjoy a little Southern pasta for the holidays. Its filled with surprises and lots of love, we all need love. Read and enjoy. I did.
