About this listen

Choices is the fifth novella in the ongoing Andersen Family Saga.

Livia Andersen was a woman who held her family together with a quiet smile and an iron will. It’s been less than a month since her death and the four children she leaves behind struggle with the shifting changes in their lives now that she’s gone. But they are not alone. Her grandchildren and other members of Livia's large and extended family are also grappling with life without her there to turn to...

Trisha Slavik knows better than most that sometimes you don’t always get the answers you’re looking for. She knows too that all to often there may be no answers to be had at all. And that living with either isn’t always easy.

As the oldest daughter of Claire Andersen Slavik she has always been the one to look out for things…and people. Especially family. Now when she least expects it she finds herself in the unenviable and completely unforeseen role of protecting someone she has the least desire to. And if she could avoid it she would.

But it’s not just about him anymore. It’s about those closest to him.

Noah Andersen is her mother’s oldest brother and a force to be reckoned with in his own right. She’s loved him all her life and just as importantly she respects him. He’s never given her reason not to. But now he wants answers about someone else’s role in the many petty but questionable events that took place in the months and years before her grandmother’s recent death. It is up to her to give him the answers he seeks and to somehow help him to understand that what is in the past needs to stay there. She suspects he has plenty of reasons to feel as he does and would be happy under any other circumstances to cheer him on in his efforts. But everyone in the family has dealt with their share of grief and the struggle to move past it has been harder for some more than others. Trisha knows any more discord within their extended family won’t help anyone and could do tremendous damage to others.

The Andersen Saga is a story of family. It is a story about joy and loss, hope and sorrow, betrayal and regrets, unconditional forgiveness, high expectations, and unwavering loyalty. It reminds that at the heart of who we are is the family we come from, the family who stands behind and beside us and at times against us. And who we become isn’t just a result of those still with us but those too that we’ve lost along the way. It is about the twist and turns every family deals with, the conflicts from within, and the never ending desire for acceptance and respect.

Choices is the fifth book in the ongoing Andersen Family Saga. Other books in the Andersen Family Saga include Betrayal, Resolute, Broken, Found, Regrets, Remember, Forgiven, Truths, Always, Expectations, Decisions, Disillusioned, Believe, Relentless, Everlasting, Enduring, Treasured, Determined, Chances, Secrets and Christmas.
