This story developed slowly but held my attention. The narrator had a soft monotone voice that fit the story. The ending was good with no cliffhanger. I will read more by this author.

This story is my favorite kind of marriage between science fiction, philosophy and religion. It has a mild suspense and tenderness without being stressful. I enjoyed getting to know the characters, the narrator was flawless except in her pronunciation of filleted 😜10/10!

I loved the world building of this book - so much interesting science fiction weaved together with such creativity and detail. I also loved the relationship between Cynthia and Maddie - it’s one that any mother and daughter can relate to and enjoy! Highly recommend.

I found the story to be intriguing, but then very confusing as I got into it. I couldn’t really follow it as systematically as it was unfolding and I’m still confused. I’ve listened to it twice. times.
