Narrator Errors

I love this series but the narrator kept on calling Ryland “Ryan” and it was distracting.

So uneventful it is not memorable

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

More of a real secret in her life. More conflict.

Has Cassidy turned you off from other books in this genre?

No, and I like some of Lori Wick books, but not this one.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Cassidy?

Pretty much the whole story.

Any additional comments?

Some books just don't need to be written. I didn't see any purpose in this story.

BORING AND PREDICTABLE,

What disappointed you about Cassidy?

A REAL SLEEPER...I TURNED IT OFF AFTER TRYING TO GET INVOLVED IN THE STORY FOR 6 CHAPTERS! BORING , SHALLOW CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, VERY PREDICTABLE PLOT. I FEEL LIKE I WASTED MY MONEY

Has Cassidy turned you off from other books in this genre?

NOT NECCESSARILY BUT TO THIS AUTHOR, YES. YOU WOULD REALLY HAVE TO CONVINCE ME TO TRY THAT AGAIN

How did the narrator detract from the book?

NARRATOR WAS OK

Meh for a usually steller Lori Wick

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I'd recommend it only if you are looking for an easy to follow story that you can miss part of without loss.

Would you be willing to try another book from Lori Wick? Why or why not?

I generally love Lori Wick. Some of her earlier books are in my favorites of all time pile. However, this one seemed very very predictable--even for a Christian historical romance. The foreshadowing of Cassidy's backstory was extremely obvious, and her brother's story could have been built up on more.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

The narrator made all of the women's voices so soft that they sounded a little out breath and raspy. Cassidy is supposed to be a strong, independent character. Her wimpy voice did not match, and drove me crazy. It was distracting to the story.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Probably not.

Any additional comments?

I was sadly disappointed. This is not up to Lori Wick's usual stellar work. :(
