Acerca de esta escucha

This is audiobook #10 in the Casca Series.

Casca Longinus, cursed by Christ on Golgotha, condemned to outlive the ages, wandering the globe as a constant soldier. Forever fighting, surviving, and waiting for Him to return.

Now Casca is in 16th Century Mexico where enemies of the majestic Aztec King Montezuma are sacrificed to his bloodthirsty gods by the thousands.

Traveling in the party of Spanish Conquistador, Hernan Cortes, Casca (as "Carlos Romano") returns to the savage land seeking revenge against the ritual priests who once ripped his very heart from his chest.

My word, what a most desirable series. Narrated to perfection, compelling storyline, simply outstanding! Must buy 💯.

the 10th book in the series, we find ourselves at the end of the Spanish Inquisition. We travel with Cortez and see the fall of the Aztecs. for casca, it is a return to a past life but the story is very well-rounded and very well told and brings up a lot of actual history that actually happened. as always, I appreciate Gene's delivery and it is obvious that he did some research beforehand to pronounce all of the names correctly and his change of tones for each of the characters is always phenomenal. You will not be disappointed with this stand-alone novel but know that it also builds on a previous novel as well. this is probably my second favorite book so far in the entire series.

very good story

Book starts simply enough. Caught up by the Spanish Inquisition, Casca becomes a prisoner, but as usual, has time on his side. Within a short time of escape, he is able to book passage back to his previously explored lands, and revisit the Aztecs except this time as a conquistador.
