About this listen

Raquel was never sure why she surrendered to a total stranger. Naive impulse, primal instinct, or feminine intuition? By morning she was no longer a truck stop waitress, but a woman on the way to an isolated Wyoming ranch with Holt Tyler - and he wanted to know all the secrets she'd guarded so carefully these past months.

Was he kidnapping her for his own selfish reasons or trying to rescue her from a deplorable situation? Did he really want to protect her or just take advantage of her? Had she fled a wealthy, powerful father only to fall into the arms of a passionate, possessive stranger? Time would tell how much of her heart had been captured by a cowboy.

This is a very sensual romance set on an isolated Wyoming ranch.

Great Book!

Any additional comments?

This is a great book written by Becky Barker and narrated by Alexandra Haag. This book can be listened to in one sitting if you have the time, once I started listening to it I didn’t want to put it down until the end. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. This was such a great read and full of surprises.

The narrator Alexandra Haag. did a great job with this book. She did a great job with the different voices of each character in this book. It was very easy to listen to in one sitting and I didn’t want to stop listening until the end.

If you are looking for a great book with great characters then you need to listen to this book. I am looking forward to listening to the next book by this author and narrator.

A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

Great story

Captured me from the beginning. It has enough twists and turns to keep things moving along and interesting.

Good Listen!

Holt had to deal with a woman that had some growing up to do. I was hoping he would spank her behind.
Alexandra did a good job narrating it. She needs to practice doing the male voices a little more.

Depressing!

Captured By a Cowboy is not my idea of a romance novel. The leads in this book are impossibly childish, self-centered and rude! The H is the better of the two because he isn't afraid of his shadow and even though the h has a good reason to be fearful, her reactions are OTT and snippy. She's hiding from her billionaire father who needs to control everything in her life. Even though he turns out to be anything but a dad, she is overly terrified. H is a control-freak by nature, okay, maybe not a freak, but he demands to be in charge. On her 21st birthday, the h inherits her fortune and her father can do nothing about it so the H suggests they have a fake marriage of convenience. And here's where the problems begin. When they were first together, their lives were all about sex and lust, but now that they're married, the h wants to be in control and be celibate. No, I don't think that will work since urges just don't go away Then the story becomes simply stupid. They are cold to each other, not daring to speak, and the cracks in their relationship turn into crevaces. I really despised the part where the H doesn't come home one night, and of course she finds him at the home of OW. "Nothing happened!" Riiighttt! There's almost 1/3 of the book left, but I couldn't do it. I finished but was totally underwhelmed and not much inclined to read the next book in my library.
Alexandra Haag did a marvelous job with the narration. She is able to voice both genders well and her enthusiasm is appreciated!
