Publisher's summary

Follow Mae West as she searches for clues to bring killers to justice in this Campers and Criminals Cozy Mystery bundle.

Beaches, Bungalows, and Burglaries: Mae West, a far cry from the Hollywood actress, has been thrown for a loop. Her plush lifestyle in the big city of New York comes to a screeching halt after the FBI raids her mansion and arrests her husband, Paul West, for a Ponzi scheme that rips people out of millions of dollars.

Deserts, Driving, and Derelicts: Mae has grown to love her RV community, and now that she's found a place to call him, she's not going to let anybody ruin it. Mae throws all of her heart and amateur sleuthing skills into bringing the real killer to justice.

Forests, Fishing, and Forgery: Happy Trails Campground is at the center of a murder in which campers as well as locals are suspects. It looks likely that a local resident is responsible for the dastardly deed since the victim is the one person who had the power to shut down the national park, which would be devastating to Normal's small businesses.

One Crazy Story

Let me start by saying I am an RV camper & I do spend summers in a National park in a campground. I thoroughly enjoyed Mae's introduction to an RV and to the RV lifestyle.
It is amazing how many dead bodies the author managed to drop into these 3 books. Amazing. And believable (mostly. if you squint a bit with your mind's eye.)
I started this box set as something to listen to in the background while I cleaned. I ended up not cleaning but instead listening to the story.
Good job author.

Clean Mystery Series

Overall it was ok. The story was pretty engaging. The conclusion of book 3 wrapped everything up but was rather anticlimactic, it felt rushed all of a sudden.
The narration was not my favorite. I got used to it because I paid for it. She struggled often to use consistent accents and voices for characters especially in book 1 and it was confusing.

Good story but bad southern stereotypes

I liked the stories. The fact that the author thinks to be southern you can’t use proper grammar is annoying. There are some other reviews that mention the lack of common sense the main character has in the first book and I have to agree. The main character states she isn’t dumb and then can’t work a Kuerig and in the second book can’t put a dog in its harness. Overall the stories are pleasant but I doubt I will read the rest of the series.

this is a very fun series

One of the things that popped out that I really enjoyed more than I thought I would was the fact that these were almost short stories with a follow-through on character build and world build. The fact that there are three at a time made this audiobook very palatable. I appreciate it how the author and a narrator gave us different views of that simple little town called Normal. The fish out of water feel for really character made it super enjoyable to walk through a different part of society that she saw abnormal but over time she found it for only to fit into her new little town. I'm going to definitely follow up with the series. it is a must listen to or read!

Truely enjoyed the books

It was cozy by the fire on a snowy day kind of book, It kept my interest, and I really enjoyed reading it. Sometimes, it's nice just to read something fun and not too dramatic.
