Confidence on the real estate road
As someone who has adamantly followed many Kiyosake-isms for the last couple of decades (the bank owns the house, you pay more over time with a mortgage, etc), I have actually avoided home ownership (mostly due to mortgages) and have been renting as cheaply as possible. And although the approach has allowed a certain amount of freedom, it also comes with not feeling like you truly habitat the space in which you live. So I am glad to have come across V J Dean’s “Buying Your First Home” title and come to the conclusion and realization that home ownership perhaps isn’t as scary and daunting as I had once believed. With excellent advise on budgeting, proper bidding strategy, deal closing, pitfall alerts, and just about everything else you could ever want to understand, I now feel a ton more confident going down this real estate road.

Home Sweet Home
I wish had this information when I bought my present house. Everything you need to know to buy a home! The author includes the credit scores needed to get the best loans. The information on the different kinds of loans was interesting. I often wondered what the difference between an ARM and a jumbo loan. Lots of good information here. Useful for anyone looking to buy a home. A good book to gift to a young couple ready to buy.

Resourceful
Listening to this audiobook was really helpful for me as a first-time homebuyer. Buying a home
I struggle to find an excellent home for my family and don't know where to start. Here in Canada, it's getting expensive, and the streets are getting packed with traffic, so it's hard to find a home with a great price. I learned from the audiobook and from friends that when you buy your first home, the government can find a way to give you a great price. I had an idea of what I wanted from home, how much space I needed, which streets were best, etc. The audiobook gives practical tips, and I like the step-by-step guide and will keep this audiobook for my reference.

Comprehensive knowledge to buy your first home
As someone who just went through the rollercoaster of buying my first home, I can’t recommend this book enough! It covers all the bases you’d expect—mortgages, closing costs, and budgeting—but it also dives into stuff I didn’t even know I should be looking out for. The advice on avoiding buyer’s remorse and catching red flags in homes really saved me from making mistakes.
I loved the narration too—it was informative but at the same time fun to listen to. I found myself going back and listening again during my home search, especially when I hit a few bumps in the road.
If you’re a first-time buyer like I was, this book is an essential read. It made the whole experience way less intimidating! I can highly recommend it!
