About this listen

I like to live my life with no regrets. The only exception? Levi Carter.

Five years ago we met on vacation and fell into an innocent flirtationship.

And like all the women in cliche romance novels—I’d know since I read them obsessively—I fell in love.

Then I promptly chickened out of admitting my way-too-soon-red-flag-feelings and left Levi behind, with nothing but his first name to remember him by.

I thought I’d never see him again, but then I walk into my new job as a police department therapist and… there he is.

He’s tall, handsome, and totally off-limits. Dating detectives is definitely against the rules, but Levi seems determined to break them.

But He’s My One Regret is the second book in the But He’s a Carter Brother Series, a series based around four strong, protective brothers finding love.

This story pulled me in faster than the first one in the series. They are both great!

I love the characters. They make you have warm fuzzies, caring, kind, look after each other, with teary HEA endings. It's a great series so far!

Very Engaging

I was a little hesitant when I realized that the main characters are a homicide detective and a psychiatric counsellor, but the book never got too intense. Instead, I feel like the character's background helped to fill them out and add meaningful conflict between them.

There was one point where I'm pretty sure Haley Taylor bumped the microphone and had to restart a sentence, so maybe the producer missed that, but I would still call it a good recording and Haley Taylor does an excellent job of doing a voice to match Dahlia's melancholy character.
