Great Listen

Just like the first book, this listen was a great balance of love, sex, violence, suspense, & laughter. I look forward to much more from this author.

Little Memphis

If you could sum up Broken Memphis in three words, what would they be?

A little Cheesy!

What does Meghan Kelly bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Meghan does an amazing job bring the story to life.

Any additional comments?

I love these books, yes they are a little silly but that is why I like them. I love the Pax and Bebe and they way they acted with Shay and Ford...but for me the Lula stole the show. I just loved her and they she was with Pax, it just melted my heart. This is the 2nd and final book, that makes me a little sad. I do love Little Memphis.Warning: This novel contains scenes of a sexual nature, violent themes, and coarse language. It is intended for mature readers

I So L-O-V-E-D'd This Book!

This is the second book in the Little Memphis MC series. Bebe and Pax may have gotten off on the wrong foot in the first book, but that was just Pax's way of pulling Bebe's pigtails. Her spelling out curse words cracks me up. There are a lot of different emotions going on in this, but they are written SO well. The fun, light-hearted banter with sarcasm and teasing is the perfect balance for the tragic, gritty and disturbing realities of events in their lives. Pax is totally flawed and yet totally awesome. He's mostly a straight shooter except when he freaks out a bit, but Bebe is a tough enough chick to figure him out and slap him into shape.

Bijou Hunter doesn't screw around with senseless drama and whiny characters. Thank goodness for that because, with all the "real" drama in their lives, there just isn't room for emotional insecurity and childish game-playing, and that just gets on my last nerve sometimes anyway. Did I mention that I LOVED THIS?? It was sweet and edgy and endearing and sexy and hysterical and tragic. 100% worth a credit or cash. BTW: It can be a stand-alone listen, but I highly recommend getting the first book too because it was also really good. Why deprive yourself of the full history?

I liked Meghan Kelly's performance in this, as well as in the last book. I have not always liked her narration style, but it works really well in this series. I think she did an excellent job with the many characters' voices, especially Bebe and Pax and Tallulah.

Bijou Hunter doesn't disappoint

This is the second book of Bijou Hunter's that I have read/listened to, and she really delivers a great story. I loved the playful banter and sexual tension between the roguish Pax and clueless Bebe and how easily Pax slides into their lives. Their connection is natural and really fun to see/hear unfold. The rough parts of the MC life weren't sugar-coated or glazed over...it is what it is and Bebe is forced to accept it if she wants to be with Pax. I applaud the author for actually telling us what happens to her characters down the road. Too many authors use cliffhangers to create drama or just don't finish the story. Hunter gives us a play-by-play of life after the bulk of the story, which I appreciated. I mean, you invest all this time in the characters, so you want to know what happens to them, right? Meghan Kelly did a better job narrating this book in the series than the first, in my opinion. I still think she makes the heroine sound slightly dumb, but Bebe is supposed to be slightly dumb, so I think it works in this case. Overall, a great story if you're into MC books and don't mind a little graphic violence and steamy adult bedroom scenes. Highly entertaining and enjoyable

Any additional comments?

This is a little different read than I thought it would be I do have to admit it was really funny in places. When she was spelling I was like Pax to dump to know what she just spelled. Well maybe not that bad but some I really had to think about a few before I know what she was saying. One word at a time isn’t bad but damn that lady can spell a whole sentence which makes you really have to work on it. lol. What I really loved was Pax and his humor along with his nasty mouth that really needs washed out with soap. I have to admit he made the story leaving the listener wondering what new things he would come up with. Bebe also added a lot to this story even with her drama she kept you smiling.

Meghan Kelly I thought did a great job the only trouble I had is when she would get louder and softer as she was narrating. At first I thought the high low was when she took a break but after I listened for a while I feel she did this when the person was in thought to show the difference which was not needed. For me it sounded like she was talking with her hand in a circle over her mouth or almost in a barrel. For me this took away from the audio. I did love her character voices, their tones, emotions along with how they expressed their selves. I had no other issues but the talking in the barrel sound the rest was done with the utmost professional voice you come to love from the best narrators. There was not any background noise, her voice is very clear, you have no trouble knowing who is talking or what their emotions are. Her female voices are a nice as her male voices giving you pretty much a clear clean listen. I have listened to one other audio of this narrator she has come far and does not sound robotic anymore. I thought it was a great narration I love her little girl voices they really draw you in. It was really a good audio with a few bumps that I feel sure will get better as the narrator takes on more audios. She has come so far from the last one I listened to, I feel sure she will go far giving us many hours of pleasure listening to her lovely voice.

I really cannot get over the spelling and still am laughing. I found this book to be serious with serious issues. I cannot say this is your normal family at least I hope this is not the norm for most of us. I do feel sure there are some out there that can really relate more so than I and live something very close to what this author has written. The author shows the true meaning of love and what it truly means along with the jealously of one brother who does not understand what the other one is doing. It doesn’t take Pax long to come to understand all that he has missed. Pax was very entertaining giving this story life, excitement, thrills and even a few chills. As the book takes off you get to know Pax more deeper and find he has fears, lost, sorrow and pain just like everyone else. He might be a big strong man that can scare anyone with a look but it was nice to see he had the same fears. This made him more down to earth and likeable. Once you get over the roughness of this character you really just fall head over heels for him.

Bebe it took me a little while before I really liked her she was so childlike complaining and too much drama. I have to admit she grows on your along with all the characters. She might have gotten off to a bad start with her childhood but she sure makes an outstanding mother. She took life as it cane wasn’t demanding, putting her child first giving her the best life she could.

I love the ending how the author goes through the kids making them all important no matter what they were like or just how smart we thought they might be. Each person has something wonderful, great and outstanding about them. The author showed this making the read understand why making us laugh with the humor. This was a very entertaining listen that I didn’t want to put down in fact I didn’t always put it down as I should have. I decided to bake so I could listen a little longer. The author put a lot of thought into this story giving it just the correct amount of pull and tug to keep the reader hooked. There are some wonderful heated scenes full of passion but never forgetting there is a child they must look after and listen out for. Pax really needs to get his S H I T together or he is going to lose the best thing he has ever had. Whether you read or listen this is a book that will grab you, hold your attention, make your heart race why keeping you smiling. There are a lot of curse words said and spelled out lol that really adds to the story. Even if you do not like this kind or wording I do feel you will enjoy the read.

It's sexy, violent and funny. I enjoyed it!!

Any additional comments?

I was given this book in return for my unbiased opinion and I honelty thought the book was a hot mess but in a good way. Bebe is going to spell every curse word in the world..Loved it and Pax is just as dumb as rocks but he is her protector. I love the fact that Pax admits to being lonely and the he is such a good little play daddy. I don't know I enjoyed it all. The Narrration was great and the story was interesting. Truly though you have to get this book Meghan Kelly does such a great job with Bebe..I just love the spelling..lol

Good book

In this book we are faced with the age old dilemma; boy meets girl, boy likes girl but boy does not want a relationship. Add the heroine daughter, a motorcycle club in choas, heroine placed in multiple dangerous situations and your in for the ride of your life. I love love love the banter that went on between Pax the hero and his brother not to mention this manly man's relationship Bebe the heroine daughter it was so tender and evolution felt natural. There is a bit of violence which didn't affect me some reader may find it offensive but in alot of ways the violence was more funny than gruesome to me.
That being said the female narrator fell short for me I was not a fan of her deliver of this character for some reason and just couldn't get past that.

Good book overall and I would recommend it for your next listen
