Embrace the blood…

Lazarus Cross wakes after centuries of slumber, a single objective burning in his mind: revenge. His newfound thirst for blood is insatiable.

When the woman who awakened him disappears before he can learn his identity or purpose, he must rely on his own strength and cunning to survive.

In a world hungry for power and control, Lazarus must fight for his freedom and prove he is more than what he appears. With each bloody battle, he grows in strength, each victory unlocking new powers inside him.

As he delves deeper into the secrets of his forgotten past, he discovers that he is the first—and now last—of an order of Eldritch Knights. Lazarus must harness the forces of darkness to defeat the demonic entities holding sway over Selunath.

But he can't do it alone.

To do so, he must lure the very creatures who try to control him and use their power to defeat the evil goddess, Sanguiana.

And he must do it without succumbing to the growing darkness within…

Mostly disgusted

At the time I’m writing this review I am disappointed and a bit disgusted by the mc. He makes a stupid promise to not fight his captors to a woman who he just met and abandons him. Then he goes on to watch other captives beat raped and so on. The entire time we get to hear how mad he is but he made a promise and bull shit. This book may get better but atm it’s a let down

Great story with interesting characters

This is more than a harem novel. As a matter of fact, there’s very little harem in it. Well, at least so far. The main character is complicated as he strives to understand where he is and who he is. The supporting cast of characters are just as complex and interesting. The plot of the story weaves itself between adventure, intrigue, and mystery.
The narrators do a fantastic job with all of the voices, making each of them, unique and easy to define. They bring real emotion to the story. I am very excited for the next book in the series

Decent world building but just not enough

Look, just WAY too much exposition.. I guess my tipping point was the hour+ conversation with the baron over finding his wife. A good example would be if someone gave a horse something to eat we don’t need to know the the day, the month, and the year the food was harvested what the weather was like on that day, the type of home that sat on the property, what it was built from, the family name of the man’s grandmother who cut down the tree, and then why he takes a dump every morning after breakfast. If ANY of that info had ANY bearing on the rest of the story that’s one thing but it NEVER DOES. The writing isn’t bad but we don’t need to know the family history of a man who made a candlestick that cross glanced at ONCE. It’s just too much. Honestly I wanted to know what happened but there’s 10 paragraphs for every single observation cross makes and he observes EVERYTHING. I found myself yelling at the phone “come on! We don’t need to know that! Just get to it!” 😂😂 Follow this up with the constant keeping of secrets from the people who are risking life and limb for him causing the frustration to keep building. I won’t even mention the fact that the girls don’t ask a single question..by far one of the most frustrating books I’ve ever come across. This man is supposed to be an ancient king. Powerful and strong lol yeah right. The mc’s whining and hateful attitude near the end just adds to bring the rating down. Just my opinion.

its ok

I tried to like this. I saw it on amazon and waited for it to come to audible. Story is just to goofy. There are several times the mc could have acted but did not. I understand not going full murder hobo, but there were two spots in the story where all his probs could be solved if he took out the bad guy right in front of him. Also the whole give up and let them capture you thing that happens for the whole first half of the book. No way man.
The performance was good. These guys are easy to listen to. Just didn't like the choices the mc made, then complained about it later.
