About this listen
Rule #1 for newly divorced single moms: Don't fall for your best friend's brother. Even if he is as handsome as he is kind and makes the most addicting lattes. Add in how great he is with your daughter and how he rushes to offer both of you a place to stay when you find yourself in need, and you may as well consider yourself a goner.
But even as perfect as Sam is, a future with him is not possible. His life is in Sugarplum Falls while we’re just passing through as we pick up the pieces to start over. Staying would only complicate things, and neither of us needs that. Allowing the chemistry between us to ignite is a dangerous game, and I can’t afford to get burned.
In another life, I might have considered what could be between us, but it’s not just my heart on the line anymore. Now there’s a little girl who is quickly getting attached to a man who isn’t ours to keep.

Sam & Avery
I have been waiting on Sam’s book and I absolutely devoured it. We see him in multiple books previously and seeing him be able to get his HEA with Avery was great to see. I loved Kennedy’s character too. She was sweet. If you enjoy a sister’s best friend trope, then this book is for you. Sam’s explanation to Avery about the candy canes in this book when talking about happiness was an added touch.

Loved Sam's Story!
Avery and her daughter, Kennedy, are just passing through town after Avery and her ex went through a nasty divorce. Avery isn't sure what their future holds, but when they plan to stay with Cassidy, her best friend for a few weeks, Avery remembers why she always had a crush on Cassidy's brother, Sam, growing up. Something comes up and Avery and Kennedy end up staying with Sam and he gives Avery a job at his coffee shop to help her get back on her feet. Cassidy is having trouble seeing what a future with Sam will be like because she's trying to not only protect her heart, but also Kennedy's.
A single mom would be so lucky to have someone like Sam in their life! Not only does he make the best lattes, he adores Kennedy and makes sure Avery takes time for herself. Their chemistry is hot, and when the two of them get some alone time, it's on. We all know and love Sam for his sweet story about the candy canes that come with his coffee orders, but don't let that fool you. Sam and his candy canes have a dirty side too!
Samantha has been using Jaime Carnucci for quite a few of her audiobooks and I'm loving it! She's a little different than some of the big name ladies out there but I love listening to her different voices, especially the sassy-ness she had in this one.
THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU IF: You love cinnamon roll guys who are extra sweet but also have a dirty side.

I so need a latte from Sam...
Blame It on The Lattes is book 7 in the Sugarplum Falls series. This is Sam's story that I've been anxiously awaiting as he has been matchmaking for 6 books now. Avery has left an abusive marriage, finally gotten the nasty divorce settled, and left with nothing except her daughter Kennedy and hope for a better future. She's turned to her best friend, Cassidy, and is back in Sugarplum Falls to regroup. Sam needs help at his coffee bar and Avery needs money for the holidays. The chemistry between these two is strong, but he's her boss and she's his sister's best friend. There's no fighting this small town's holiday magic. This spicy holiday gem will heat up those cold nights with sizzle for the HEA we have been waiting for. The narration was great. Jaime Carnucci always does a great job with all the character voices. Love, love, love this series!!
