Publisher's summary

A threat against the bottom line will always be a terroristic act, even if it's the right thing to do.

What happens when the ones who know everything turn against their own government?

A story of loyalty, betrayal, war for power, and the fall of a democracy and the rise of a dictatorship. An apocalyptic thriller that shows the rise of this generation's revolution and what America did wrong. Blackstorm is a beacon of hope, light in a world that is far gone.

Interesting

I'm not usually drawn to or interested in military based or futuristic novels, but the story of this book was interesting and provided great details for visualizing as I went through the novel. The author left the story open for a sequel and I looked forward to seeing what happens if a second novel is infact released.

What a cliffhanger

The story feels very cinematic. I could easily see it translating to film as an action/drama. Gives off Matrix and Borne vibes. The critique of the American Dream is timely. I’ll be interested to see where the story goes as it definitely left off on a cliffhanger.

Good thriller novel

I didn't know what to expect when i picked this book up. I always like thrillers because theres an element of whodunit and i always try to guess whats happening and why.

Another Take on New World Order Take Over

Blackstorm: A New Revolution written by L. E. Miller and narrated by Keith Jedlicka is an apocalyptic thriller that appears to be the first in a series by the author. The main character is Maxx. He is part of a group doing work behind scenes led by his brother Alistair. He runs covert ops and hit teams to help unwittingly pave the way for a one world government.

The story jumps back and forth in time quite a bit. First novels in a story are meant to build a foundation for the characters but I was having a hard time keeping interest with the time jumps. The characters were okay but it was hard to really get invested in them some were just a generic wife or bad guy.

The narration was good. This is the first time that I have heard an audio performance from Mr. Jedlicka. His performance was entertaining and he gave each character as much life and unique voice as possible. The audio production on this audiobook was provided by Cliché Publications. The entire performance was crisp and clear through the entire production. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
